About this property

Rotoma Lakeside Luxury

Nestled in the heart of Lake Rotoma, with all amenities less than a minutes walk away. Enjoy the long summer days by the lake. Be the first to launch the boat in the morning, for that morning ski or wake board, or catch that trout for breakfast. Take the kayaks out for a more relaxed pace around the lake to enjoy the bird life and views.
Sit in the spa at the end of the day and watch the sun go down after enjoying a home cooked meal on the large deck that overlooks the lake.
Winter nights can be enjoyed in front of the fire with a nice glass of wine, while watching a movie from the DVD collection supplied. This Bach has a modern kitchen, with all new appliances and pantry with basic dried herbs and spices, for those who enjoy cooking.
Although the garage is not available to guests there is plenty of parking at the property and adjoining reserve.
SECURITY CAMERA'S are installed at all entrance/exit points to protect all.
Special conditions:
Family Groups preferred, or would suit 2-3 couples wanting to spend time together, Maximim 6 adults & 2 children under 12. Longer stays of minimum 5 nights for long weekends & 5 nights for December, January holidays will be given preference over short term bookings.
Extras: Linen (Optional, NZ$25.00 per person , only offered to 3 night stays or more); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; A fee of $250.00 will be charged if not left clean.
WE have altered our PET policy due to some issues with pets owners not complying with the terms or even letting us know they were bringing a pet. If you have a 4 legged family member that you would like to bring with you, please add it to you booking, with a note about the pet & we are certainly happy to consider this.

Fun on the lake

We loved this property and would love to stay there again. The kids could do all their water activities right out in front of the bach and having the boat ramp so close made things so easy. I especially loved my morning coffee sitting on the deck looking out at the amazing scenery.

Tararewa Ultra Stay

This place was really nice to relax before and after the Tararewa Ultra Marathon event. Remote but perfect if you want to get away from city life and watch the lake and abundant bird life.

Beautiful Lake Rotoma stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this property, everything thing was neat and tidy and in full working order. A great well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and beds and good hot water supply. The lakeside outdoor area was just lovely with a great view over the lake and access to the lake. I really can't fault this property and communication with owner was great.

Ideal family retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is very well appointed and there is a nice variety of areas to hang out. Given that we stayed here in July, it was a bit of work to keep the house warm with the fire place but really no problem. Gorgeous sunrises over the lake reward early risers. We'd love to rent here again in the summer.

Great communication from the owner. House is exactly as listed. Beds comfortable and there is absolutely everything there you could possibly need. The lake is mere steps from the back gate. Lots of space and view from spa wonderful. Great place for a holiday.

We loved our stay here! Lynley was great to deal, the Bach was spotless, and very well set up. We loved the spa, the use of the kayaks, the fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a lovely section for playing soccer with a beautiful lake view. The fire kept the house cosy. We’ll be back.

School holidays

We found it a cozy batch with plenty of extras to make living easy and enjoyable, helpful instruction to follow on arrival and good communication all throughout. The place has a back yard to let children frolic and loads of seating to dine and lounge around outside. With a location so picturesque its hard to leave, but theres loads to explore around the area, we enjoyed bush walks, mountain biking and just being beside the lake fishing and kayaking. Great place for family memories we wish to return again.

Awesome bach in excellent location

Awesome bach, was very clean and tidy when we arrived and had everything we needed during our stay. Kayaks and spa were a total bonus! Lots of space for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids, both inside and outdoors. Great big kitchen with big fridge and dishwasher. Close to boat ramp which made it so easy for our lake adventures. Host was lovely to deal with too. Is now our favourite bach to stay in at Rotoma, and our family have stayed at a few! Thankyou so much for letting us stay and we hope to be back next summer.

A quick drive to heaven on earth

Wow! Everything about this weekend away was the best experience I had in a long time. The hosts were amazing, so friendly, and the communication was so easy as was the check in and getting in to the property. The bach was so clean and cosy when we stepped in, the fire was burning and filled the air with a “welcome home” vibe. Watching the sun rise over the lake while having breakfast on the deck, while breathing in the fresh air of our surroundings is definitely my favourite memory. I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here, and I can’t wait to go back for a longer visit. We are in love with this place!

Pretty much perfect lakeside retreat

Lovely calm spot, beautiful lawns down to the lake, peaceful view and lovely deck. Spa pool under cover but with view of the lake we enjoyed night and day even in mid winter. Spotlessly clean, lots of space. Warm and plenty of blankets and electric blankets if needed (we didn’t). Very occasional truck noise could bother some but too brief to bother us. Brilliant view of Milky Way during our stay. Well stocked kitchen, large modern fridge freezer and dishwasher. Would very happily return

Good points - lake front location - fire pit & bbq & fireplace - great amenities and facilities - plenty of space - kayaks and equipment Things to consider - a corkscrew! - traffic noise can be a little loud at times - especially the 6am bin collection for the petrol station. Hints & tips - the petrol station next door is good for little bits to top up shopping - go for a walk near the Bach to get firewood, sticks & pine cones. We found plenty if you walk up the road along the lakefront. - if going at Easter go wild blackberry picking down the road near the fire station

Perfect Getaway

Six of us ladies go on an annual relax and unwind break each year, and all of us were very happy with this lovely home. On our arrival the fireplace was stoked and ready to go, a welcome note on table and everything you could need was there. Beds were comfy, house was warm, shower was amazing, views gorgeous, even tho the weather was a tad wet. Only drawbacks are the road noise and although there's a fire pit, an outdoor heater would be the icing on the cake, however all the rest makes up for it. Communication is friendly and helpful, so we highly recommend this choice. Would love to see it during summer :-) Thank you.

Fantastic Spot

We just wanted a chilled 3 days away and this bach was the perfect spot. The weather wasn't the kindest and was quite chilly but my husband still managed to catch 10 Trout so he was rapt about that. The waterfront property is great with no road to contend with and the views were great. We were also grateful for the firewood in the lounge, the fire was all set up ready to go and we had it going for the 3 days, it kept everything nice and toasty. We also found Lynley leaving a box of chocolates and some Avocado's a nice welcoming gesture when we arrived at the bach. The bach had absolutely everything you needed and the beds were comfortable. It also was really clean which is a winner for us. So thank you for renting your bach to us Lynley and Rick.

The property is our family Bach, where we enjoy spending time with our adult children & grandchildren. We are all keen water skiers & wake boarders. We feel very fortunate to be able to be at the Lake and have chosen to share this amazing spot with guests for the mean time.

Why they chose this property

Unlike most the properties at Rotoma, it is on the same side as the Lake, so we do not have to cross the busy State Highway 30 to access the Lake making it safer for children.

What makes this property unique

20 mins to Rotorua Airport, 40 minutes to Whakatane. Great views of the lake from almost every room, including the shower.
