Lovely spot, beautiful views and walkable to all the things we needed. The house was delightful. We had a party of 4 and the 3 rooms were ideal coming off the central lounge.Fish and chips at the dairy made for an excellent dinner watching the ocean in the lovely outdoor space.Easy comms, great restfuls sleeps :)
Great place to stay, we had 3 generations staying and the accommodation was perfect. Close to the beach & cafe and a short drive to town. I enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony looking out to the beach, truly relaxing. We would definitely stay again
Ambience was superb, we loved all the pertinent and unique touches from furnishings to decor in a Bach which met all the standards for cleanliness and facilities whilst providing us with a comfortable and functional stay
Great location. Lovely house and deck outside. Perfect get away for our family, and 2 x small doggies. Will definitely be back. Walking distance to the ocean.
Fab stay, walking distance 2 min to the beach and cafe!
Quirky wee house with great views and outside cover in the sun and the rain. Would def' stay again.
We booked a seaside getaway with winter sun and the beach in mind. Instead it was the most wild winter weather imaginable. We enjoyed the cozy house, lit the fire and enjoyed the weekend in a different way. Many thanks for hosting.
Great size for our whānau, plenty of room on the deck to entertain our whānau when they visited, safe space for our moko to play out back, stocked firewood for the cold night that it was and warm comfey beds. Would come back again. All the whānau loved it.
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely crib. It was in an excellent location and well set up. The decor was a reminder of days gone by but with all the modern conveniences. The owners have gone above and beyond to make it comfortable. The veranda was the icing on the cake as it was beautiful weather when we were there.
We loved this little house. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in.It has a lovely homely feel, with such nice decor, and everything you could need including a stunning view of the sea. The location is great - so near to the beach cafe as well. Our only regret is that we could only stay for one night.

The property was comforting, welcoming and homely. We loved the character of the place and the fact the fire was all set when we got there on a cold evening. Great bedding configuration options. It was so good to be able to take our dog with us and have a fully fenced section with the beach nearby. We would definitely stay again.
Had a great time. The property was clean and tidy and serviced with everything we needed. Definitely would recommend it to everyone . Would definitely like to come back in the New Year.
Comfortable house with dog-friendly garden in great location.
Great house, quick walk to Mitchells Bay but quieter as off the main road. Very comfortable place with a fantastic, sheltered deck where we spent a lot of time, rain or shine. Sea views. Everything works in the kitchen, the shower pressure is wonderful, good heatpump and cosy seating in the lounge for curlung up with a book (when you tire of the deck). We also really appreciated being able to have our dog there (outside). Completely fenced and secure, with a good sized back garden. We put her crate on the deck and she enjoyed watching the world go by.
But...the listing said several single beds and a queen so we bought linen to fit. Turns out there was 1 queen, 1 double and a bunk which was a single on top and a double below. Luckily we had relatives nearby to borrow the appropriate sized linen from.
Also, we ended up paying for an extra person who couldnt come. Although we notified the owners before paying they were unable to change it. However we had such a great time, it didn't matter and we felt the house was worth what we paid. We would stay again and recommend it to all, especially those travelling with a dog.
