This small apartment has a brilliant location, and the location is the best thing about it.The whole place is a bit shambolic and really need someone to go in sort it out and do an assessment about what is needed and what is not needed in the flat. Also the included breakfast is a bit of a joke a packet of cornflakes and a bottle of milk in the fridge for two people staying four days? Really? Also, I warn anyone staying to use the earplugs provided there are occasions in the middle of the night when some sort of industrial process happens outside of the bedroom window and it is quite startling. I will certainly wake you up.Holy no it’s not a bad backpacker type of accommodation if four or five sharing the price isn’t too bad but for a couple it’s too expensive for what it offers, although if it were given some attention and some of the thoughts with equipment were fixed, it may become a better option.
This was a cool apartment right in the heart of Wellington and a literal stroll from Te Papa, which was the main reason for our visit. City street noise was a real thing in this location... Didn't bother me, but might not be ideal for early sleepers. Rich was a very attentive, responsive host.
The apartment is very nice with lots of room and amenities. Host was very responsive and friendly. Easy to walk to anywhere downtown from the location.
Overall, a great stay. Right downtown, ideal for local sights and plenty of food places around. Apartment is dated but clean and well equipped. Would stay there again.
Cosy apartment, close to everything. Just around the corner from a major bus stop to get anywhere in the city. A block from Te Papa and the waterfront. Easy walk to a couple of grocery stores. Rich had fruit and bread for toast in the morning, which was awesome. It was also to have laundry facilities in the apartment. The check in/checkout instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. Rich was very responsive and communicative. We had a fantastic stay. Thanks again!
We stayed four nights and we were able to enjoy the best of what Wellington had to offer. Within walking distance to great eateries, bars and entertainment. We were also able to chillax with wine and food at the apartment. The apartment was comfortable, clean and quirky. Also has a car part, if you need one. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.
We had a great stay at Rich’s property. It was a stones throw from the wharf and museum and good places to eat. A bit noisy at night but worth it for proximity to everything. It meant we could easily be there without a car. And Rich was super helpful & quick to reply, including a late check out which was really handy. Def recommend.
Great CBD location, perfect for walking everywhere. The communication was good & the apartment nice and clean. The things that would have made our stay perfect are small, pillows could do with replacing and "breakfast included" the milk & juice were fresh but expired cereals, no butter or bread. Overall though a good experience.
We had a great stay – the location is second to none and Rich was so responsive and pleasant to deal with. The property itself is pretty tired (more of a student accommodation feel and needs a bit of TLC) and as other guests have noted, it can be noisy at night so I wouldn’t recommend this stay for small kids (like we had) as there’s a lot going on at night! But overall the location is hard to beat and Rich is a great host, so would recommend just based on that. Thanks again for having us!
This apartment is in an older building that could use a little TLC. However, the location is great as it is a 5 minute walk to Cuba Street and Le Papa museum. Everything is clean but the furniture is a bit worn out. I still recommend it because it is a good value for the price and Rich is very responsive..
Rich contacted us sometime before our stay to offer us a swap to a larger apartment in the same building. The larger apartment is a bit tired, but comfortable. It is in an excellent location and has dedicated parking available. The is a reasonable amount of noise on Friday and Saturday nights, but nothing that really kept you awake. The big downside of this listing appears to be the frequency with which the building’s fire alarm activates. We had two evacuations during our stay. Admittedly, the Fire Brigade have an incredibly fast response time, but it’s annoying and obviously, given the apartment information sheets, a frequent occurrence. In all we enjoyed our stay and benefited from its central location and off-street, secure parking.

Disappointed.
We were very disappointed with the level of cleanliness in the place. The carpets are filthy...to the point that if you put anything on them that item then showed black marks. Pillows needed replacing...all of them were extremely thin and uncomfortable. Couch needed a good clean. Rugs were also filthy and old...constantly turned up at the corners which is a hazard for all. Windows were also dirty and needed a thorough clean. The kitchen utensils need a good going over...no sharp knife, kitchen items not washed well with food still in them, and we had to buy a can opener. Also probably best not to advertise that you leave cereal...as most of those cereals were well passed their use by date. We were also disappointed that we weren't informed that there was not a dish-drawer...given there is one in the photos. The blinds also need repairs. Overall I think the apartment needs quite a bit of attention - not just a whip around by cleaners. It's tired and dirty. The hosts were fine...its just the standard of the place that lets this one down. The noise from outside was incredibly loud - as clearly there is no double glazing to speak off. We had rubbish trucks clearing every morning at 5am...and racket outside all night. Incredibly difficult to sleep. We wouldn't recommend to anyone and definitely won't be rebooking it next year for the same event. Could be so much better with a bit of money spent on the upkeep.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We have addressed those items.
L’appart est situé à une rue de Cuba street et toute son activité. Le musée Te Papa est au coin de la rue ce qui en fait un endroit idéal pour des vacances à Wellington. Par contre, c’est très bruyant.
We had a fantastic stay , great communication from host , I felt safe coming from a small town to the city , it was a little noisy because it’s really close to all the bars but overall it was fantastic and I would defiantly recommend
