About this property
20 acres, located near beaches, snowmobile trails and other local attractions.
***Exciting News…. We now have TrueStream Fiber Internet 😁 ** We manually add a 24 hour block between each guest stay. If you are trying to edit your booking and find you can’t, please contact me so I can remove the block.
This 20 acre property is ideal for travelers during all seasons! The house has 3 bedrooms: Bedroom #1 has a queen bed Bedroom #2 has a double bed Bedroom #3 has a twin/double bunk bed. *There is also a queen-size futon in the front room.
We are equipped with 1 bathroom with dual vanity & a ridiculously oversized shower with two shower heads. There is a large basement with comfy couches, TV with DVD player, air hockey and lots of games.
We have a large sun-deck with patio furniture and a propane BBQ available for your use.
There is a large parking area that will fit boat trailers, snowmobile trailers etc (NO RV’s without permission!). We are not far from beaches, Winston Race Track, Silver Lake Dunes and the Hart-Montague bike (snowmobile) Trail.
There is a large outdoor fire pit to look out over the stars while you toast s’mores. Circling the property is a 3/4 mile long scenic trail great for morning runs & evening strolls. You’ll see plenty of deer, turkeys and other wildlife and enjoy seclusion from the outside world.
This is the place to be in the off-season if you’re looking for a break from the daily grind. The area is well known for its Fall beauty and autumn vibe, including many festivals, events and haunted attractions. Thinking Winter??? We’re located close to the Hart-Montague Rail trail and hundreds of miles of interconnecting snowmobile trails. Not to mention the surrounding area is farm land, great for carving through fresh powder! Only a few miles from the Double JJ snow tubing hill and indoor water park!! Makes for a great spring get-away!!
Please note that you will hear Winston Racetrack on Friday nights if you’re outside during their racing season. The house is really well insulated thought, and nice and quiet. The racetrack is a great time if your looking for something to do.
No live tv but we now have WIFI (don’t forget to log out!) and there are plenty of dvds, books, and games available to entertain during inclimate weather, or just cozy up to the fireplace and do nothing... permission granted....
Otherwise, you’re going to want to be spending your time outside exploring the community, roaming the property, or stargazing on the sun deck and bonfire pit. Cell service is surprisingly decent considering the remoteness of the location. So surfing on your cell phones or using a hot spot shouldn’t be a problem....if you’re desperate to stay connected to the outside world that is.....
Note: If you’ve rented homes in the past, you’re probably use to finding a fridge full of ketchup, mustard and other condiments left behind. Due to the current pandemic, we feel this is a bad idea and hence make sure the fridge is clear before you visit. So please make sure you bring your own and plan to take it with you.
Can’t wait to help you make some memories!!!
***Due to past guests we’ve had to add an outside security camera. It only shows the driveway. We are true believers in privacy and the stream is saved online for a short time and never shared. It’s only checked for arrivals and departures to help housekeeping services. A picture of the camera view is added to the photos. Any tampering with it will cause notifications to go off prompting action.
****A gentile reminder, as stated in our rules we will not rent this house for the Electric Forest weekend.

Wonderful place. Close to Rothbury center. Outdoor seating was beautiful and large enough for the whole family to sit together. Would recommend this for other families that enjoy a quiet setting to spend time talking and enjoying the outdoors
This is by far one of the best places I have stayed, the cabin feels very welcoming the property is great and the kids enjoyed it. Will for sure be staying there again.
Great location, beautiful little cabin. Was the perfect home base for our vacation. We also really appreciated the tips and advice on local attractions. Highly recommend!!
Was an amazing stay once again, perfect location for some peace and quiet and also some stunning views of the northern lights this past weekend! Beautiful property with everything you need for a relaxing getaway
It was a very spacious and quiet property, the wildlife that we got to see was also incredible. The overall experience was fantastic, and looking forward to our next stay.
We have gone to this place 4 times now and it is great every time we stay there. The host is fantasic very quick to respond. Love the fact that I have plenty of room to park my enclosed trailer with are machines in it for the dunes.
Loved the house! Julia was wonderful to fix the one small glitch! Would stay here again (and again).Only negative is the one bathroom, but we managed that also!
Nice little house in the woods! The grandkids liked the woods and making s'mores in the fire ring. It was a good location for visiting extended family.
This is the second time my family stayed at this property. Once again it was the perfect location for our family to join a family reunion-and enjoy the beaches. We love the quiet and serene aura of the property.
This was our second time staying here, and we definitely want to keep coming back! House was great; perfect peaceful location and near lots of things to do for our 4 year old. The suggestions of things to do nearby as well as grocery stores and food places was really helpful. Perfect trip!
This was our 2nd time staying here, it is are favorite place to stay when we our in the area. ton of room for the kids to burn of energy, the kids love the games downstairs.
Overall we had an excellent time, we went up for the weekend to do some fishing and the house was everything we could’ve asked for for the price, only a short drive to double JJ. The houses cleanliness was a little spotty in some areas upon arrival though.

Thank you for the reply, Tyler. We take every review seriously when below a 5 out of 5. Could you assist us in being more specific on the areas that were not cleaned sufficiently? I would like to make sure they are addressed for future visitors. Thank you for your help, Brad and Julia
Quiet and peaceful place to just enjoy nature and we was only 25 minutes away to go take our side by sides to the sand dunes! Enjoyed the area of the home surrounded by nature it was great seeing deer just walking around. Home was nice with plenty to do inside also.
This was our second time staying here. My boyfriend and I love the field and woods for our dogs to run. The fireplace is another perk. We look forward to visiting a third time in the future.

About the host
Hosted by Julia Lorson
We have lived in the area for 20 years and are in the process of bringing up 3 kids. We love this area and bought the property for the acreage. The area is jam-packed with family friendly activities all year around. We love swimming in the lake in the summer and sledding and snowmobiling in the winter.
Why they chose this property
We’ve always wanted land and it’s very rare to find it in this area. We also love that we have easy access to the highway and we are not too far away from anything we need.
What makes this property unique
With 20 acres we can offer parking for people who have trailers, many travelers bring their boats, kayaks etc. We also offer lots of privacy and space for the kids to run around in. Any left over forts will be well appreciated by my kids! Please respect the property and use only dead or broken wood.
