This is a beautiful place! Tucked in a very quiet neighborhood, easy access to public transportation, very well centered. The apartment is done with great taste, clean, new and designed for anyone to feel embedded in the Japanese culture. The zen garden is a plus! Google maps will tell you to access it via Higashibotpin dori. But I found it better viaAinomachi dori. Definitely would book this place again!
The space was attractive. Nice shower/bath area and very nice toilet. Nice foyer. Our space was quiet day and night. We enjoyed the beds although I found the sheets rough. We were disappointed with the kitchen that looked like it would allow for meal preparation but actually lacked enough equipment to cook, lacked surface area to prepare food, and whose microwave was really hard to figure out. There is only washing machine for your clothes but no dryer. We wished there were hooks for our towels by the bathroom sink and bathing room. Last, it's really challenging to find - especially in the dark! We got lost once in pouring rain and on another occasion a taxi driver could not find it. Better directions are imperative. As a start, good landmarks for us were the cafe Totaro and the public parking lot across from the alley-way.
