From the owner: "We are so glad you had an enjoyable experience! We strive to make your stay as relaxing and easy as possible. We look forward to having you stay again soon!"
We rented this cabin with only one prior stay and review, so it felt like a bit of a gamble—but overall we had a great time and wanted to leave a detailed review.Pros:The cabin was one of the cleanest VRBOs we’ve stayed in and struck a great balance between “homey” and not feeling like a bare-bones rental. The owners were very responsive when communication allowed. The kitchen was extremely well stocked; I cooked multiple meals daily with no issues. The full-size, brand-new fridge was a huge plus. There were tons of throw blankets, which made it extra cozy, and the Christmas décor was a lovely, unexpected touch. The water heater was phenomenal—everyone showered after long days out with zero issues, even in the cold.Cons:The downstairs bedroom mattress (by the kitchen) was a major issue. The bed was extremely loud and creaky, and the slats didn’t fit properly—some fell off during the night, causing the bed to dip. This really needs to be replaced. There is no cell service at the cabin. The WiFi is fast and free, but I couldn’t text non-iPhone users over WiFi, which made communication tricky.Sound travels easily inside the cabin; light sleepers or mixed schedules may struggle. There were Rokus, but only one worked during our stay—not a dealbreaker, but worth checking. The stairwell is very steep with narrow steps and exposed cables at the time of our stay. We felt this should be clearly mentioned in the listing, as it could be a dealbreaker for families or older guests.

From the owner: "Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, and we appreciate the opportunity to address the items you mentioned. The bed concern has been fully resolved, and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. Our cabin features an open floorplan, which is part of its charm and does allow sound to carry, and the stairs are clearly shown in the listing photos so guests know what to expect. We truly value your visit and would be glad to welcome you back anytime."
