About this property

Beachfront Hotel Suite, walk to harbor and restaurants or along beach to Vidanta

Hotel spacious 1 bedroom luxury suite with pool right beside the gorgeous, swimmable sandy beach! One of the Mexican-owned Vidanta resorts, Sea Garden offers the best of a resort stay (at the hotel or the main resort a 10 minute walk away) AND immediate access to the restaurants, activities and transportation of the Nuevo Nayarit harbor area. Concierge and travel desk available to book on and off-site adventure tours. We love this place but, with other travel planned, we have weeks to offer!
Sea Garden offers great flexibility. Take a taxi or the bus from the front of the hotel to a local grocery store (e.g. Walmart) to make best use of the kitchenette, or use room service or restaurant. Taxi or bus into Puerto Vallarta proper is equally convenient. Or take the water taxi across the harbor to the weekly craft market. Lounge on the beach behind the hotel, or participate in activities at the pool. Golf courses are nearby, and local tours will pick you up at the front door.
Please contact us before you make a reservation. There are so many alternatives available and hints and tips on offer to help you get the most out of your experience and we don't want you to be disappointed. For example, if you are an avid golfer (the Mexican Open is held at one of Vidanta's courses in Nuevo), that's a different experience from "laze on the beach" or "enjoy local tours" type vacations that are equally enjoyable from this location. Note also that check-ins are restricted to certain days (usually Friday thru Monday) and we want to be sure that the period you want is doable. We can offer one, two or three week stays, but they must be full weeks.

My name is Andy and, together with my wife Marilyn, own prepaid weeks at Vidanta resorts across Mexico. We really enjoy our trips down south, and find Vidanta resorts to offer wonderful guest service, extensive choices in food and entertainment, and to be environmentally conscious (probably not perfect, but much better than most resorts). We are particularly impressed by the way the employees are treated (which you can confirm by talking to them) which reflects in the quality of service offered.
We won't be able to use our entitlement in 2024 - 5 because we plan an extensive trip to Europe, so we are offering on the VRBO site.
We won't hide the fact that you will find highly negative reviews about Vidanta on various travel platforms, but on closer examination relate almost exclusively to Vidanta sales who, like any other "timeshare" type arrangement, employ high-pressure and somewhat devious tactics to persuade you to buy in. Just ignore them!
Marilyn and I are retired and live just north of Winnipeg Manitoba. Marilyn is always busy with home improvements, family gatherings and taking care of grandchildren. Formerly, she was a leader within the Parks Canada National Parks system. I enjoy the outdoors, nature, sports and entertainment, having retired from management in the technology field. I play pickleball several times a week - unfortunately my knees won't allow soccer or any other games I used to play. We are both Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers supporters.

Why they chose this property

Vidanta has multiple resorts across the country, recommend you review their website. The Nuevo Nayarit (formerly called Nuevo Vallarta) and Riviera Maya sites are very large, especially the former. They each have several hotels on site at different levels of luxury, plus restaurants, services, entertainment, golf courses, tennis courts etc. Their ambition is to be "The Disney of Mexico". Note that it is not an all-inclusive. Food, drinks, and special shows like Cirque du Soleil are on a pay-as-you-go basis. Sea Garden is the lowest level of luxury within Vidanta, and it is very nice.
I chose Sea Garden to advertise because it caters to the widest range of tastes, but we can offer other alternatives within the main resort (for example Grand Mayan) with up to 2 bedrooms. If you're leaning more towards do-it-yourself and touring for your vacation, Sea Garden is the better choice. If you are looking for pampering, the main resort is better. Prices vary somewhat depending on what you select, but will generally be in the same ballpark.
It is worthwhile to contact us first before booking, because we can supply much more information before you choose. Once you book, we have to secure the room for you and, once done, you will deal directly with the hotel / resort who arrange for things like transportation from the airport and all of the onsite services.

What makes this property unique

Since Vidanta is Mexican owned and operated and caters not only to those of us from the north but to Mexicans also, while it offers all of the amenities we expect of resorts down south, it retains more of a local Mexican flavor. For example, the Beauty of Nature theme park at Nuevo Vallarta offers much more culture, food and entertainment than it offers thrill rides. It is well worth a visit. The sound and light water shows are spectacular.
