Easy escape from the City! Fresh air, privacy & relaxation overlooking the vineyards in Sonoma!

My son and I were ready to move in permanently after our amazing month-long stay in Sonoma this summer! The loft is beautifully designed & perfectly appointed – from an incredibly comfortable king bed complete with soft organic cotton sheets, to all the right kitchen equipment and supplies to make any meal (even a bottle of their very own rosé & farm fresh eggs in our fridge!), and a private deck and patio with Weber grill & gorgeous sunset views. Only 10 minutes’ drive to Sonoma Square to find anything you might want... but our favorite moments were on the deck overlooking the beautiful vineyards enjoying a home cooked meal & a bottle of the wine made by the vines right at our doorstep. Our hosts were very warm, welcoming, helpful & knowledgeable in finding anything in the area, and at the same time very respectful of privacy. Although you’re staying on their property, the loft is a separate building & opens onto the vineyards, so it feels like your own private oasis. I had to work remotely on many days and found having our own dedicated wifi extremely helpful and reliable. With windows on all sides, we enjoyed the cool cross breezes and fresh air most of the time (screens = no bugs!), but we were also happy to have the AC when occasionally the late afternoon sun became hot. Thank you for a great stay and for sharing this impeccable place! Can’t wait to go back… See you next summer!

Great experience, wonderful location

My husband and I had a delightful stay in in Gail and Belinda’s loft, which was attractively decorated, well equipped, comfortable and well designed for privacy. The vineyard setting, in a rural neighborhood ideal for walking, was a great attribute. One of many highlights of our stay was interacting with dogs Griff and Talley, and through the fence with Gus the horse and donkeys Beryl and Enid. We were lucky with moderate weather for most of our July stay, but on the few steamy days, we found the A/C worked well and the loft a very bright and pleasant place to relax in the hot late afternoons, with beautiful views in every direction. Gail and Belinda couldn’t have been more hospitable, responsive and helpful hosts. We hope to return in the future.

Great location in Sonoma County. The property is a secluded and ideal getaway in the middle of wine country. Our hosts made our month long stay a truly wonderful experience.

Beyond Wonderful!

This was our first holiday after a long pandemic year, and my husband and I wanted to be somewhere special where we could hike, bike, and feel restored again. When we saw this VRBO listing, we immediately envisioned ourselves in this elegant loft looking out to vineyards and the hills. When we arrived, it was a dream come true— and one we highly recommend! We loved the spacious loft, bright white with sunlight coming in from all four sides, and its deck perfectly situated for gazing over the peaceful countryside. Our hosts, Gail and Belinda, were lovely and attentive to our needs and desires. Gail greeted us warmly and made sure we had fresh eggs, homemade granola, a baguette, homemade marmalade, and refreshing bottles of local rosé and syrah wines from their own vines to welcome us. The king-size bed was very comfortable, the bathroom pleasant, the kitchen stocked with what we needed to cook in or heat up takeout food, and the living room had sliding glass doors opening on to the deck where we enjoyed picnic lunches and just sitting in the late afternoon, a glass of wine in hand. It reminded us a lot of a beautiful place we stayed in once in the countryside near Les Baux in southern France; and I adored taking outdoor showers right next to the vineyard! It was a very special two-week experience, enhanced by Gail and Belinda's hospitality and ease with letting us become part of their country homestead. We enjoyed petting and feeding carrots to Enid and Beryl, the two adorable miniature donkeys peacefully grazing in their pasture with Gus the horse and several woolly sheep. This loft was the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor pleasure! We biked to the Sonoma main square where we had our first dining out experience in 14 months at a delightful restaurant, The Valley, recommended by Gail and Belinda. We hiked in a number of nearby state parks, seeing the springtime wildflowers, stands of redwood trees, and dramatic overlooks from the hills. We then had the "beyond wonderful" joy of returning to our own place in Sonoma to relax and savor the delights of our day.

A True Gem

This review is long overdue! We had the pleasure of staying in this gem of a property last fall, but what’s even more special are the owners. They truly go out of their way to make you feel at home, from the delicious homemade granola to always being reachable for any question or recommendation. On top of the warm hospitality, the property itself is stunning and centrally located. We loved meeting all of the farm animals on our morning walks! Thank you for opening your beautiful home and more so your hearts. We can't wait to be back and share this gem with our family and friends!

Great Stay!

We stayed in Gail and Belinda’s loft on their charming farmette while house hunting in the area. The loft was well appointed and we enjoyed getting to know both of our hosts, who live on site and were eager to make sure we had everything we needed to ensure we had a comfortable stay at the property while we got to know the local area and housing market. Our 4 year old son particularly enjoyed meeting the rescue animals on site (and running through the dog agility course with Belinda!) and we’ll look forward to connecting with our lovely hosts again in the future once we secure property and move to the area. This is a great central spot to enjoy Sonoma Wine Country, book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Absolute Heaven!

We went on a week-long getaway to this property and it was absolutely magical. The property sits right next to the beautiful vineyards and every direction you turn your head is a beautiful sight. Both Gail and Belinda were so thoughtful with every detail. The place was immaculately clean and very comfortable in all the furnishing. We were even provided with a bottle of their own wine and fresh farm eggs. Just enjoying a peaceful meal looking out the windows was a treat and a vaction in itself! (Walking around the neighborhood is abolutely lovely as well with every picture you take calendar-worthy.) The kids were thrilled to meet the animals (sheep, donkeys, dogs, chickens) and we even got to see a dog training class on the day we left that Belinda was holding. The thoughtfulness continued even after our stay as we forgot one of our kids pants and they so kindly mailed them to us. Talk about kindness that goes above and beyond! I would give this place an 11 out of 10 if I could. It was a wonderful trip -thank you so much again!

Everything we could have hoped for......

This is a VERY special place and our heavenly stay there was one we will never forget. It’s impossible to summarize this beautiful property because there are just so many wonderful things to say about it ALL. It’s a haven amongst the vines truly!! So much attention to detail and care has gone into every aspect of the loft from the comfort of the bedding and luxuries of the fully stocked kitchen (to include a happily curated little cookbook library) to the fun and whimsy of the artwork and light that bounces around the loft throughout the day. The views from the patio spaces truly take your breath away each morning. My favorite moments included coffee, the sunrise and that deck! The owners Gail and Belinda were the epitome of kindness and generosity, taking time to make sure we had everything we needed including every conceivable foodie recommendation and introducing my 12yr old son to all their beautiful animals on property. So grateful for their kindness and patience, he made very happy memories with them both picking grapes in the vineyard and learning about the vines, the incredible flowers and their land around. We had the most relaxing 12 days there and I want to go back immediately (and stay forever).
