Thank you for the lovely response! I'm glad to hear the you enjoyed all the wonderful things Shag Point has to offer
A fantastic location for relaxing, fishing, walking on the beach and watching the local wildlife. The property was tidy and warm. There is some road noise but nothing that disturbed our sleep. The occasional train passing by didn't really disturb us either, in fact it was a bit of a novelty to see a train. The patio area at the rear is a real sun trap in the afternoon. Generally a nice stay. Will possibly be back again.

Thank you for your lovely review! We hope to see you again soon
It was a last minute reservation that worked out great. A seal colony lives a short distance across the highway. Plus found hiking trails close by.

We loved the quaint cottage, the clean modern, yet rustic interior, the well appointed layout. The tasteful decor. A beautiful spot directly across from the beach. We would love to come and stay longer next time.
This property was great for a couple of nights, reasonably priced, plenty of room, nice and clean and easy drive to local hot spots and right next to the beach. Located on SH1 which I was fully aware the noise of the traffic did somewhat take away from the sounds of the sea and if you had young kids you would need to keep a very close eye on them. Will stay again!

Thank you for the review Emily, we really do appreciate you taking the time out to do this for us. We will look forward to seeing you again soon 😊
Wanted a quiet breakaway and this is exactly what we had. Property was clean and tidy. The heatpump did the job to keep us warm. Bed was super comfortable. Our only negative is house floors are really uneven and sloping to one side.

Hi Karen, thank you so much for your wonderful review!! We are so thrilled to hear that you love this place as much as we do!!
Stayed a couple of nights on a weekend, Friday & Saturday nights.Beautiful spot with a lovely view. While the main road is just below, you cant see it, looking out over bush & sea. The road noise is not a problem, barely audible. Theres also rail behind. We only heard one train and it wasnt bad.Overall, very peaceful. Just what we needed. And the morning view from bed of the sun rising over the sea was brilliant

Thank you for the wonderful review!
We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our lovely beach views and beautiful sunsets!
Basic Bach, view over the ocean great but being above major state highway there was considerable and constant noise. Good beds and linen. Cold first night & major drawback was the banning of the use of the firebox (not advertised in the blurb when we booked). No wine glasses or cork screw only 2 pots. No floor rugs no atmosphere. Only 2 outdoor chairs no table. Coffee plunger doesn’t work.No soap in the shower. Overall for the price, very disappointing stay & we would not recommend it to our friends

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. In response to your comments, we will be adding wine glasses and a corkscrew to our kitchen facilities.
With regards to outdoor furniture, we would like to mention that there were additional chairs available at the back of the property that you may have missed and we are looking into finding a suitable table.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the fire, but as previously stated, many guests have experienced difficulties lighting it and prefer the convenience of heat pumps. Therefore, we have chose to install a brand new heat pump. We would like to remind you that the listing description stated that heating was provided by a heat pump, with no mention of a fire. In addition, we have installed a heater at the other end of the house to provide extra warmth in these colder months.
