The cabin is in a perfect location. The lake is picturesque. And the interior is cozy. We spent 3 nights there. It was a great base camp to explore Minnesota.

What a beautiful property this is. Everything was lovely the views the cottage and all the special added touches that come with it. The hosts were wonderful people I'm glad to have met them I would recommend this place to any of my friends.

Had a blizzard on the way in. Contacted the host and it wasn't a problem.The cabin was exactly as advertised. The perfect location. Close enough to amenities while feeling like you're miles away. Absolutely stunning in the snow and cold. A winter stay at this cabin would convert any snowbird to the beauty of winter.

Everything was great and really appreciated the host follow up while we were there. The cabin was clean and being right on the lake was perfect. Everything that you could possibly need was provided. You could tell a lot of thought went into the inside of the cabin construction and decor. Also the location being four miles from our son’s home for visits was great. The cabin exudes a spirit of calm and peace and positivity. The decor blends with the nature outside the windows. The stay was a unique and very pleasant experience. I feel lucky to have found this place!

Lil Cabin Stay at Elk River

My husband and I needed a place to stay to attend a family wedding in the Minnesota area, and needed a little peaceful place to rest. This adorable cabin was perfect. It is located right on the river. We saw deer, goose families, turtles, and even had a bald eagle hang out on the river edge one morning. The cabin was spotless, well-equipped, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We plan to return to this quaint little piece of heaven.

My mother and I stayed here for our birthday weekend. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Watching the wildlife on the river is easy even from the cabin. There is so much thought put into everything here. The Hosts really make it feel like your stepping into a second home. I slept on the loft and I would say that it is not made for more than 1 adult, but it was comfortable. It was very hard to leave when th time came.

Peaceful and perfect!

An absolutely delightful place, minutes from any place you want to be in the Elk River region. Tucked in the trees along the water. Cozy, warm, comfortable, amenities and decorations are spot on. You won’t want to leave. We will definitely be headed back. We can’t say it enough nice things about the place and the hosts. You can tell how much they love the space just by being there. I’m delighted they are sharing that with us through VRBO.

Pros: Cute cabin in a prime location. Very serene atmosphere and well stocked. Very quiet and tranquil. Keyless pad worked great. Cons: There was no way to turn off the outside lights so it made sleeping a problem with the brightness coming through the windows. Also, the loft had only two air mattresses, one of which was loosing air and the railing does not go up high enough to be safe for younger children. Shower did not drain well with low water pressure and bathroom had inadequate ventilation.
