We had a lovely time at The Lakehouse! The cottage was so clean and homey, with a great deck and fire pit. Kayaks, pedal boat, paddleboard and many board games available. We spent most of our time on the dock or in the water swimming and boating. The lake was great for swimming, with warm and clear waters. Thank you Stephen and Shirley for a lovely stay :)

My husband and I stayed at The Lakehouse during our summer shut down week from work. We came with my retired service dog and my active service dog, so we could all enjoy the water and get away from life's craziness. The water was great, there was a sandy area off shore that was safe for the dogs to swim in. Jumping off the dock though, there were too many weeds for the dogs to safely swim (we learned that the hard way), but would be totally fine for kids and adults to swim!We saw lots of frogs, a couple water snakes and a hundred or so tiny baby catfish at the dock (very cute). And we witnessed some beautiful fish being caught nearby on the lake. So if you're into fishing, don't forget your rod like I did! We went during the week, not on a weekend, so we had basically the entire cottage park to ourselves. Very quiet and peaceful we met a few very nice neighbors, but it was overall empty and much more private than expected! The cottage inside was very nice, lots of functional space, and it felt like home. Stephen was very easy to get a hold of throughout our stay, and very helpful There are also countless beautiful hiking trails and day-trips to be had in the area, we never didnt have something fun to do. Overall, great trip, we'd love to come back some day!
