The place was beautiful, the hosts were attentive, and everything was (for the most part) accurate to the listing. I unfortunately do think that it is important to note that you share the entire back yard and pool area with the host. The only divide is a very short and entirely see-through fence, so you are visible at all times from their living room (host Olga assured us she’s always home). This meant there was zero privacy unless in the house with the curtains drawn, which was not mentioned anywhere within the property description. As a group of young women booking what we thought was a private property, being watched at all times by a man we didn’t know left us feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. We also would have appreciated a heads up if the hosts were to attend the property – Olga came across into the property during the day to clean the pool, which was very attentive but was a bit of a surprise to open the curtains to! While the property is lovely and the hosts seemed very nice, if I had known we would be visible at all times we would have booked elsewhere, and I think the shared space with the host should be mentioned in the listing.

What the review does not disclose is our request for extra cleaning compensation due to the unit left with a smoking/drug use odour and a large rubbish mess well beyond normal use. We had to ask VRBO to be involved given Ella and friends were clearly most focused on drug use during their stay. This was fully communicated in our review of the guests to protect other hosts. The property set up is full disclosed regarding the co -host on site and this is a shared pool space. Ted
