Reconnect with loved ones in this family( & Pet)-friendly place. Relax next to the water, while the kids and dogs swim. Enjoy a spectacular Manitoba sunset, from the deck, or one of two fire pits. Have your morning coffee on the front deck watching the pelicans catch their breakfast and a bbq dinner on the back deck. Great location only 1 hour from Winnipeg. July & August Monday check in Sunday check outs

This place is a gem! The views of the lake and the sunset are amazing. The fact we can be comfortable with our dog with us is such a bonus. The cabin is within minutes of several beautiful beaches. And the birds! My app picked up 7 different bird species in the trees around us on the lakeside deck. With 40 degree climate, the new AC unit was a life saver. We would definitely come back.

excellent get away

excellent get away from the city only 1 hour away! the cabin is spacious with 3 bedrooms a large living space, fenced yard for the dog, and very clean!

The kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were nicely decorated and tidy. Visited nearby Twin Lakes Beach and spent the day at Steep Rock, 1 1/2 hour drive.

Catherine was great to speak with. The cottage was very nice. A great getaway from the city. We really enjoyed the deck for reading, watching the water and bird watching The beach area to the lake was rocky but there are a few sandy beaches close if you dont have water shoes.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The weather forecast wasn't looking great for the weekend we booked, so Catharine was so kind to offer us an alternate weekend that was available, however we decided to stick wit the original plan, and we are glad we did! The cabin had all the essentials and the wood stove was a nice surprise! The fenced area was also amazing for the pups. If you are a bird enthusiast, we saw our fair share of birds just outside the front window including bald eagles, pelicans, orioles, among others!

The cabin was awesome! Everything you could need. The host answered questions promptly! Only thing we were not aware of was how rocky the beach was. Hard to go out without proper shoes. No sandy spots.

Was nice relaxing. First two days sunburn then got 2 really bad storms. Learned some new card games. Did get one complaint from neighbor telling us she hated renters because bugging her dog. We were not even near her. I love that the cabin was dog friendly everything was great.

Family getaway

This family-friendly cabin is perfect for a family vacation, or getaway with friends. The small kitchen boasts all appliances and utensils needed to make a great meal. The views of the lake are amazing, and sandy beaches are only minutes away by car. Seamless check in, and our host texted us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. They provided towels and bedding, and the wi-fi was a wonderful bonus! The kids particularly enjoyed having access to "their shows" - just like home. (Might suggest adding a guest account to streaming services, so guests don't mess up host algorithms; there is no way for guests to sign in with their own streaming accounts. If you don't care, then no worries!)Between the ceiling fans, and the breeze from the lake, we didn't need the air conditioning, even on the warmest days of our holiday.We're already talking about doing it again next year!

For the most part it was a good stay. One of the issues we had was the extensive dog hair on the carpets and along the walls. It appears that the carpets had not been cleaned or even vacuumed. The listing says there is access to a beach. But in fact it’s in the neighbours yard. He was nice enough to let us use it but the pictures and statement saying it’s beach front is not accurate.
