The house was clean and well presented on arrival. However, one of the bedrooms was set up for two children, despite our booking being for five adults. My son, who is 6 foot 3, had to sleep in a bed that was too short, with his legs hanging over the end.We paid over 4,000 for four nights and expected accommodation suitable for adults. Unfortunately, this was not the case. While the property has a lovely balcony, there was no outdoor setting or seating available, which limited our ability to enjoy the space. The kitchen was also poorly stocked for the number of guests—there were only three wine glasses provided for five adults, and the utensils were minimal.Overall, the property has potential, but for the price paid it needs better adult-appropriate bedding, outdoor furniture, and a properly stocked kitchen.
Just a 5-minute walk away, you’ll find the beautiful beach and the Sykes Foreshore Playground, a fantastic spot for children to play and explore. This playground isn’t just a regular play area—it features interactive water play zones with sprinklers and water jets, where kids can splash around and cool off on warm days.
In addition to the water play area, the playground has swings, slides, climbing structures, and plenty of open space for children to run around. Parents can relax on nearby benches or enjoy a stroll along the scenic foreshore.
For those who love outdoor dining, the playground also offers free BBQ facilities and picnic tables, making it a wonderful spot for a casual meal with family and friends. You can cook up a delicious meal while the kids play nearby, all while enjoying the fresh ocean breeze.
The home is also just a 15–20 minute walk to the heart of Bunbury, where you’ll find a great selection of cafes, restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Whether you’re looking to explore the town, unwind by the beach, or let the kids have endless fun at the playground, this home provides the perfect base for a memorable and relaxing stay.
