About this property
The Depot@Boomerang - unique architect-designed house close to bush and beach.
The Depot@Boomerang is unique luxury 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, architect designed house set in peaceful bushland. Wake up to the birds and go to sleep to the sound of the surf.
This unique passive designed north-facing house attracts cool breezes in the summer and has a double-sided log fireplace to keep you warm in the cooler months. Or sit around the outdoor firepit and look up at the stars. The large open plan living/kitchen/dining room has a double height ceiling and indoor-outdoor living with sliding glass doors opening onto the verandah which has a BBQ.
A large custom made dining table and 2 leather lounges make it a great place for gathering, cooking and eating meals together. The kitchen has Smeg and Bosch appliances - a 5 burner stove with wok burner if you love cooking, an electric oven, dishwasher and microwave, a large fridge with an icemaker,. For coffee lovers the Breville Bambino coffee maker makes great coffee with ground coffee and has a steamer to froth milk. Other appliances are a toaster, kettle and rice cooker.
A second loungeroom 'snug' has a smart tv, books and games. Upstairs in the loft is a pool table and a third lounge area with a 7 seat sofa.
BEDROOMS - There are 3 queen bedrooms downstairs and 2 single beds in the upstairs loft. Two of the queen bedrooms have their own separate access, double height ceilings, ceiling fans, and a comfy lounge chair in each. The third queen bedroom has a window nook to read or look out at the bush.
BATHROOMS - The large cool green-tiled shower is separate from the bathroom and features 2 heated towel rails. The bathroom/laundry has a toilet, sink, a washing machine and dryer. Hairdryer available. A third bathroom has a toilet and hand sink and access to a unique outdoor shower with hot/cold water that many people (including me) say is the best shower they've ever had!
LOCATION - The house is at the end of a no-through road opposite the community playing fields. The house is surrounded on 2 sides by unique native bushland, incredible bird life (if you want a list of local birdlife, common and rare let me know), and other fauna like bats, bandicoots and wallabies.
Next door is another holiday rental owned by my brother so if you have a larger group you might want to rent both properties. Ask owner for more information.
The property is an easy 5mins walk from Boomerang Beach or a short drive to other Pacific Palms beaches - Blueys Beach, Elizabeth Beach, Shelley Beach and Cellito. There's so much to do. Beach activities of course, Boomerang is famous for its surf break, but also bike riding, sailing, fishing, bushwalking, tennis, golf at Sandbar nearby.
As well as having amazing beaches, the area is known as the Great Lakes with Smith and Wallis lakes nearby. Go sailing, water skiing, canoing, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding on the lake, bring/rent a boat to inspect Pelican Island, go prawning.
Across the street are the sports fields where you can practice your bowling and batting in the cricket nets, or kick a ball, shoot some baskets.
Great cafes nearby for brunch or lunch; head down to Kembali Cafe at Blueys, or Frothy Coffee at Smiths Lake. Sips at Moby's around the corner is open all day until 9pm.
Grab a drink and a meal at the Recreation Club which has live music and beautiful sunsets.
Have a hit of tennis at the Pacific Palms Community Centre tennis courts or check out the markets on the last Sunday of the month.
Wander through the palm forest at Tiona to visit the Green Cathedral on the shores of Wallis Lake.
In Forster you can try famous Wallis lake Oysters and take a whale/dolphin watching cruise.
Climb up to the Sugarloaf Point lighthouse at Seal Rocks.
There's something for everyone.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

About the host
Hosted by Claire Jones

This is our brand new family holiday house and I am managing the holiday rentals. It's a great way for us to cover our costs. I also love creating a unique experience for people and do my best to think of everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. I love travelling and I know the little things can make all the difference to a holiday stay.
Why they chose this property
I have been coming up to Pacific Palms since I was born and love the area. I want our guests to love the area as much as me. There's so much to do - best beaches of course but also walks, fishing, sailing, bike riding, whale watching, sunset watching.
What makes this property unique
Having so many lakes and beaches nearby is really special. No wonder the area is called the Great Lakes! I love the natural setting. So many birds and even wallaby if you wake up early to watch the sunrise.
