We had a good time. There was lots of bugs, but other then that it was cool, the Lake was absolutely awesome!!!

We had such an amazing time at Mattie house. Ron was great to deal with from beginning to end, he answered all my random questions promptly, provided updates on the forest fires, as well as informative details prior to our arrival. The accommodations are pet friendly, and our pooch LOVED the water as well as the private beach. However, the beach is all rocks and his tender toes were quite sore come day two - unfortunately, it didn’t slow him down a bit - and there was no way he’d be missing a water day! If you can get your pooch adjusted to some water shoes it could help (or perhaps our pooch is a bit of a prince/city dog).The water was calm, minimal boats, and the beach was quiet. We spent the entire days there, with the kids waking up early to go fish off the dock - lots of perch and minnows. Also, as others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs to get down to the water - the good news is, because the beach is private we were able to leave all our fishing gear and water toys down there. We truly enjoyed our time there and would love to go back. Bring a paddle board if you have one! Red’s bakery was a hit! Cinnamon buns AND apple fritters! However, the one day we arrived at 2pm and they were sold out for the day. So go early! The cabin was perfect, with enough space for everyone, we even did a puzzle. There was no AC but plenty of fans around if needed. Parking was fine but would be a bit of a challenge if you had a trailer. In short our stay was amazing!

Nice property and view. A little walk down stairs to get to water and nice boat dock if bringing a boat. Lots of bedding and chairs available. Enjoyed our time there.

Great cabin and excellent location. Very clean and plenty of room for our group. BBQ was excellent, clean with propane. Having cable is definitely an added bonus when the weather isn't cooperative. Communication was excellent and check-in was easy and on time. We look forward to being back again soon.

A nice location on the lake. Marina and sauna were the main attractions for our group - nice to be able to moor the boat each day instead of pulling it out of the water, and goes lots of use in the sauna after the cooler days on the lake. Turning the trucks around in the parking area was tight - we ended up just backing down the driveway as it was easier. Property is steep - which Ron did communicate- but just to be aware of if you have smaller children. Kitchen is sufficient - would recommend bringing a good non-stick pan as the ones there are pretty well used at this point. Upstairs rooms have large skylights, would recommend bringing eye masks in the summer months.
