From the moment we booked until check out we had a fabulous experience. The owners were very quick with replies for any questions we had and the accommodations were top notch. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting beautiful views and who is going with a group with kids or on your own.
Stayed at this beautiful property for our Christmas celebration with family, we had a wonderful stay, plenty of space for everyone! Hosts are very responsive and gave great instructions prior to our stay, making us feel confident at the check in time. Hoping to stay here again next year!
Eagleview was the perfect home for a family gathering. It is spacious
welcoming and very well-appointed. The location and views are fabulous. Thank you for a memorable experience!
This house was perfect for a family get together. My mother has limited mobility (she uses a walker) and having the master bedroom and walk in shower on the main floor was great for her. The owners were wonderful and communicative.
This was such an amazing place for a multi-generational family vacation. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. A great property.
We were a group of four couples, it was great to stay in a large house with sufficient bedrooms and a large kitchen and dining area. The check-in and check out process was easy and well communicated, the recent snow had been taken care of so parking was easy and it was nice to be able to park in the garage.
HOME FROM HOMEExceeded our expectations by far. Besides the breathtaking views the home was comfortable, spacious and immaculate. There was ample games, ample supplies including laundry items. Soaker jacuzzi tub was pure luxury.Definitely highly recommend you stay here.Jane & Rob (Mission BC)
The location was excellent and we appreciated the well equipt kitchen, we did a lot of cooking! The check in instructions were also nice and clear & the kids play area downstairs was great. On the downside, there were a couple of cleanliness issues and most of the matresses are pretty tired now including the sofa bed. For those that need phone reception, it's pretty sketchy up there but good WiFi throughout.
Spotless property with an amazing location and view over Kootenay Lake. High end finishing, comfortable furniture and a well equipped kitchen make this family friendly property a must stay for visiting Nelson and Ainsworth Hot Springs. Minutes from the Balfour ferry and Sandspit provincial park.

very nice owners everything liked the house is nice and the place is very beautiful
Gorgeous view from large windows and a great patio where we spent many hours chatting and barbecuing. All the amenities that anyone could want in a rental home including lots of kid toys to keep our little ones entertained. Close proximity to explore Nelson and the many hiking trails in the area. It is also literally 5 minutes from the ferry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Was a wonderful stay. Great space. Hard to park, would recommend a reflective marker at the top as it was not the easiest to navigate with a truck. Clean and easy to use home. Wish the home book was easy to locate as we had to search for the binder. Lots of games and toys made it fun for the kids. Kids liked the hidden rooms in the closets. And the water on the night stands was nice.. kids always need water.

About the host

We are a pair of adventurous "World Travelers". We have both made our living by working on ships and the marine industry. We have traveled the world and now found our new lives together in the Kootenays.
Robin,
I was born in Victoria, BC. I am a Chief Engineer presently employed as an Chief Engineer for the Kootenay Lake Ferries (Balfour & Osprey 2000). I am an avid Motorcyclist I presently own a Ducati (Hypermotard 1100) street bike and Honda 450r Motocross bike that I can’t spend enough time on. I have excellent knowledge of all the local highways and by-ways and would love to share that knowledge to fellow street riders. I am presently still exploring the motocross trails and would be happy to provide some guiding or other support for your rides.
Now that I found myself in the Kootenays, I am becoming an avid outdoorsman again. I am taking up Hunting, fishing, and trying to get back into x-country skiing and snow boarding.
Before my present career, I was employed with Carnival UK (cruise ships) out of Southampton, UK for five years. I was traveling the Mediterranean, Baltic, and Caribbean seas with all of the beautiful Ports they offer as a First Engineer and Environmental Officer. While employed with the cruise ships, I made Thailand my home for five years where Charlotte and I explored S.E. Asia together. And Yes, I did meet Charlotte on the cruise ships. She was employed as a “Events Officer”.
Charlotte,
I was born in Wiltshire, England (near Bath which is famous for the Roman Baths and not far from Stonehenge.)
I worked for P&O cruises for nine years in that time completed 2 world voyages, contracts were 4-5 months and we would meet the ship in port anywhere in the world and sail where the ship was based for that season. I met Robin onboard whilst working together & moved to Canada six years ago and love my new home.
Now my (our) life is all about our Infant daughter Isabella (6) and our son Oliver (4). They are my full-time career for right now.
