interesting creations such as honey wine. Visit the chocolatier for some
homemade chocolate from the old country or taste the world-famous empanadas.

just taking in the sun. Popular nature points of interest near the vacation

Rincon Point. Anyone visiting California to surf must put Rincon Point on
their list of experiences. Its fame is legendary as are the surfers who come
from around the globe to surf Rincon, making it one of mainland America’s top
surfing destinations.
Carpinteria Bluffs Trail – A fantastic ocean view with an easy 2-mile-long
hike that connects Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve and Tar Pits Park. This
trail is mostly flat and allows dogs so you can bring your four-legged friends
along! The Harbor Seal Sanctuary viewing area is within Carpinteria Bluffs
Nature Preserve where you can observe the harbor seals from a safe distance.
Franklin Trail is one of the best hiking trails in the area set in the
foothills just north of Carpinteria. The trail starts at the Franklin
Trailhead and climbs up steep switchbacks along a wide road. In about 1.7
miles you will reach Frank’s Bench where you can take a rest break and enjoy
spectacular views.
Carpinteria is a large cyclist community. Jump on the new Santa Claus Lane
bike trail and head up to the popular Santa Claus Lane shopping and restaurant
district and beach, then continue on into Summerland.
Take a 5-minute stroll to Amtrak Surfliner, and hop on the train for a fun
