Location was awesome! Small unit that fit the needs of two seniors. We could walk everywhere, and even enjoyed the gym. Close enough to to visit other towns like Ventura, Ojai and Santa Barbara!
The townhouse was exactly as described and pictured. It is in the perfect location if you are looking for a quiet get away. It’s right across the street from the Marsh wetlands where you can enjoy peaceful walks and see some wildlife along the way. The beach is less then a block away and the town is in walking distance to the townhouse. We didn’t even have to get into our car during our stay.
The townhouse was clean and in a quiet neighborhood and the owner Kyle was very communicative and very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything.
We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet beach getaway....

Close to beach, to meany stairs
We had a great time there for a week. We were surprised when people kept saying "Watch out for the OIL on the beach." There is a up-charge if you bring sand-oil into the house without knowing it.
It took a neighbor and me to open the front left window. The coffee maker broke on day 2 so Coffee shops were our morning trip every day. Thank goodness there are great coffee shops you can walk to.
The condo management people were great to work with. I was a pest about the coffee maker and window ,but they were understanding.
The condo association. should put money into fixing the holes in the drywall in common aireas and parking lot.
All and all we would go back.

I’m happy to see that I was great to work with, because when this guest had trouble with the coffeemaker, I offered to buy and deliver a new coffeemaker right away. He declined, saying they preferred our great coffeehouses. I offered to pay for all of their coffee for their entire stay. No receipts requested; just tell me how much and I’ll send you a check.
I found the coffeemaker to be working normally but have replaced it with a new one, just in case.
I entered the condo before their arrival and opened the windows and turned on lights. The windows are in perfect working condition.
There is no “up-charge” for bringing sand or oil into the condo. There’s a note asking guests to use the City’s outdoor showers to rinse themselves, the boogie boards, and the beach chairs, before coming inside. It reminds them that if the cleaning service charges more than their cleaning fee, a charge might be deducted from their security deposit. That has never happened because of that reminder note.
My office is not aware of work needed in the common areas. We are not the HOA. I manage the townhouse for one individual condo owner.
This guest was not a pest. On the contrary, he took great care of this home and has already gotten a 5 star rating from me. Our visitors deserve and receive top notch service. The same note that mentions beach cleanup has my cell phone number.
So I’m not sure what we did to deserve 3 stars. That hurts. It’s hard to do better than show someone “a great time” and be “great with work with.”

This was the perfect place for a traveling medical professional on a 4 month assignment. Great value for money! This was the most affordable thing around in the Santa Barbara area and provided me with everything I needed for a comfortable home away from home. Slept great on a really comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, quiet at night across the street from the salt marsh and friendly neighbors. I will definitely stay here again
We loved staying there. Love the location. The property needs a few simple repairs, fix the screens, fix the shutters, and the garbage deposal and it will be perfect. Also bedroom ceiling fan. Thanks

I’m glad my guest loved the location; very grateful for the positive review. I sure wish I’d been told about those malfunctions so I could have them fixed, either the same day to at least before the next guest arrived. Please don’t keep your concerns secret; we’re happy to fix them!
The place is small, it needs some updates, but it is very well located, only 5 minutes walk to the beach. This apartment would be a very good stay for a couple, but it is not a good stay for a family. My husband and I slept on the sofa-bed, and we had so much back pain! No one should ever have to sleep on such an uncomfortable thing. That sofa is the reason why we give only 3 stars.
Beautiful area, it was quite a nice small bungalow. It had dishes and a few amenities. The TV didn't have cable, and the bed could of been more comfortable. The paintings in the condo were beautiful, and colors were vibrant. The shower was quite nice and gets hot. Overall though it is definitely worth the price and would still consider staying at the place again.
My husband and I came up to Carp late on a Thursday and checked out on Sunday. It was just enough time to unplug and return back to our family and work recharged.
AMAZING location. Only a five minute walk to the beach. It has an assigned parking spot. It's across the street from a salt marsh wetland area, which is great for walking in the day and star-gazing at night. It was a great rate for that neighborhood, and unlike other properties in that area, it did not require a week-long stay. Very comfy bed. We cooked all our meals at the condo and bought groceries at the Smart and Final, which is a short drive away. Wifi and cable are provided and the neighbors are very quiet. When you walk to the beach, pick a spot on the north (right) side for fewer people.
Kyle was VERY communicative. We will definitely stay there again.

I was not impressed with this condo
Pros-The check in process was great. Communication was awesome! The location was a quick walk to the beach and to town. Cons- I was not impressed with this place!! The screen on the screen door was broken. The pictures on the rental ad are incorrect. The couch is not the same. It was old and very dirty. The sheet and pillows for the pull out couch had terrible brown stains on then! I did not want my children to have to sleep there. The kitchen was not stocked with anything. There is no salt. The bathroom was dirty and did not look like the pictures in the listing. There was no soap dispenser, just a refill bottle. This place could use an update or just some added touches to make it look like the listing.

I forgot to update the photo of the couch. That new sleeper-sofa was added last year, I took a photo, and it slipped my mind.
A renter broke the screen door, hours before the writer of this review arrived. It was Sunday, I couldn't get it fixed that day. It's fixed now. Repairs must be done during vacancy due to safe-distancing protocol.
It's just not true that the condo wasn't clean. The condo was cleaned to VRMA Covid-19 standard.
Everything edible should be removed from the kitchens of all rentals, due to Covid-19. Don't use things like condiments that others leave behind!
Soap provision had to change because of the pandemic; we've considered providing no soap or paper goods at all, due to safety concerns.
How is it even possible for a bathroom not to look like a listing? There's nothing in the photos that we could possibly change, except the towels.
This cute apt is a block from the beach, in a quiet location. There is a locker with beach accessories which was a pleasant surprise especially after my own beach chair broke. Walking distance to downtown.
The best part was the location, 2 blocks from the beach. Good walkability to to food, shops, etc. even though we only walked to the beach due to the concerns about the virus.
The unit was okay. We didn’t mind the dated decor but not very comfortable. I wish there was outdoor space to sit and enjoy the cool weather. My biggest concern about traveling was health safety. The unit LOOKED clean but it looked like surfaces, such as counters, tile floors, fridge, switch plates, may have been wiped down but not cleaned. I was prepared to sanitize when we arrived but not clean. I certainly expected better since the cleaning fee is very high. Maybe consider changing your “professional” cleaning service! However, management was fairly responsive to some other minor issues.

This person couldn't arrive on their scheduled day, so I offered and gave them an extra day on the end of their rental. That was a gift. They claimed a wasp tried to come in, so I gave them a $100 refund. Another gift; we can't control insects.
We are following the complete covid-19 enhanced cleaning protocol of the Vacation Rental Management Assoc. It's not in any way true that it wasn't clean.
What's "not very comfortable?" There's a soft sofa and a queen bed, exactly as described and pictured in this listing.
There is a very large outdoor space to sit and enjoy the weather. It's approx.. 300 feet from the door, over 1,000 feet long, 150 feet wide and literally right in the sand.
We love staying on this property when we visit Carpinteria! The house was perfect and we had a great time. The house had everything we needed and the beach is so close. We will be coming back again!
Our stay at the "Carpinteria Beach Townhouse Condo" over the Thanksgiving break was just what the doctor ordered. Our family loves to live a pedestrian lifestyle and this gem is in a prime location (e.g. access to the beach, trails, town, the train and so much more)! Kyle was so great and easy to work with. We look forward to returning to the area for another fun-filled, yet restful vacation . . . Carp-style!
Spent 4 nights in Carpinteria. Very cute laid-back town, close to everything we needed to do/see. The condo was in a lovely location, close to town and the beach. The unit itself was outdated, could use some sprucing up. The fans included in the unit wee good to have available. We used them the entire time. Unit stocked w/basics.
Food/restaurants in the area were wonderful!
The property manager Kyle was outstanding! Responsive, accessible, warm and friendly. We appreciate ALL of his help/assistance!!!
This is a nice budget-friendly place to stay. Thank you!

Thank you very much! It was a pleasure having you as our guest in Carpinteria and we hope you can return soon.
We loved the location of this condo. We walked and biked everywhere!
Everything in the condo is functional and the bed is quite comfortable, but it could really use a little updating. There are lots of little nail holes in the walls where things used to hang. The paint and carpet is well worn. Just a few little updates could go along way to make this little condo very charming. We would like to stay there again.
Our family enjoyed our stay in the small condominium. It was a tight space for four people, but we spent most of our time out on the beach and in and out of town. The accommodations met all of our needs. We would stay here again. Manager was quick and responsive whenever we contacted him.
