The Space:
One of the few true 1-bedroom condos in the Grand Lodge, on the 3rd floor of the East building with elevator access — no stairs with the gear.
➔ Bedroom: Two queen beds with a private ensuite full bathroom — a real bedroom with a door.
➔ Living room: A queen Murphy bed folds down at night, so all six sleep comfortably.
➔ Bathrooms: Two full bathrooms.
➔ Kitchen & dining: Kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, mini fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, and bar-top counter, plus a separate dining area. No oven.
➔ Building amenities: Indoor/outdoor heated pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center, and a fireplace lobby.
3 Pros:
+ Under a 5-minute walk to the lifts — ski or bike from the door, past a coffee shop and restaurants.
+ Heated indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, and steam room for after the slopes.
+ A true 1-bedroom with two full baths that sleeps 6 — rare in the Grand Lodge.
2 Cons:
- No A/C — at 9,375 ft the nights cool off and it's rarely missed. No in-unit washer/dryer.
- The pool, hot tub, and steam room are run by the building's HOA and can occasionally close for maintenance without notice.
Guest Access:
You have the entire condo to yourself, plus full access to the Grand Lodge's shared amenities: the indoor/outdoor heated pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center, and fireplace lobby. There's an elevator to the 3rd floor, on-site ski storage, EV charging, and one free outdoor parking pass per unit. Check in yourself anytime with the keypad code — there's no front desk at the Grand Lodge, but we respond quickly by message. Shared amenities are operated by the building's HOA and can occasionally close for maintenance.
The Neighborhood:
You're at the base of Mt. Crested Butte — under a 5-minute walk to the lifts, with a coffee shop, ski-storage shop, and restaurants on the way. The base village puts shops and dining right outside the door. Historic downtown Crested Butte (Elk Avenue) is about a 7-minute drive or a free shuttle ride away, with galleries, restaurants, and Old West storefronts. Summer means hiking, mountain biking, and wildflowers; winter is ski-in convenience.
Getting Around:
You don't need a car here — the lifts, coffee, and restaurants are all within a short walk. A free town shuttle runs between the mountain base and historic downtown Crested Butte (about 7 minutes). If you do drive, your unit comes with one free outdoor parking pass, and there's EV charging on-site. The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 45-minute drive; Denver is roughly 4 hours.
Other Things to Note:
- Check-in after 4:00 PM / checkout before 10:00 AM, keypad self check-in.
- Sleeps 6 max: 2 queens in the bedroom, 1 queen Murphy bed in the living room.
- No A/C and no in-unit washer/dryer. No oven (kitchenette has a cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher).
- Not pet friendly — the HOA does not allow pets on the 3rd floor.
- Pool, hot tub, steam room, and fitness center are run by the building's HOA and can close for maintenance without notice.
