The host fraudulently charged 2000 for a table that was broken when we arrived. The house is basically a tear down in a posh neighbourhood. One of two furnaces doesn’t work. Flooring separated and walls cracked. Interesting choices for electrical outlets - a power bar buried into the wall. One master bedroom had creepy mirror at bed level. Place was used by 5 executives for an overnight board meeting. No damage done - two weeks later we get notification of a broken table and 2000 charge. Table was broken - along with about 25 other broken things prior to our arrival. Massive party held just prior by look of the huge bags of cans and bottles. Wouldn’t use it again prior to the fraudulent claim - and now dealing with claim. Owner doesn’t respond to texts and VRBO makes promises after hours on phone that aren’t kept. I guess it’s off to small claims court and wrestling with our credit card company.
