Pros: Loved the location. It was between Astoria and Seaside and easy to find. The trail to the beach with sparkling sea grass on either side was fun to walk and the beach was wonderful. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and spend time. It was very well equipped, especially the kitchen and had a great refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and drip coffee equipment.Cons: The home is very tired. Grout is missing in the many tiles that are in the home. The windows were not clean. We had to go outside to pull the screen open at the deck door. The floor was sandy and my friend's white socks were very dirty at the end of the day. The gas stove top was ancient and actually scary to use. There weren't enough railings in the home. My friend, who has to use a cane, can go up and down stairs but she wasn't able to use the very nice living room because the stairs were uneven and there was no railing. The entrance stairs did not have a railing for all the stairs and the railing that was there was so rough we were afraid of splinters. There weren't enough blankets. The downstairs bedrooms were cold enough to warrant more than a lightweight cover and the other beds had to be stripped to use the covers. There should be grab bars installed in the showers. We had a lot of trouble with the gate code. The numbers were correct, but I had to stop the car and figure out how to use the #keys in the correct order to open the gate.
