Our property is nestled in the tranquil and upscale gated community of Surf Pines. With over 8 bikes available for adults and children, guests can explore our quiet and private community at their leisure.
Reservation & Compliance

To confirm your stay and meet local regulations, please review and sign the Short-Term Rental Agreement and complete our Guest Portal, including uploading a copy of your driver`s license, within 24 hours of booking. This ensures everything is set for your arrival and helps us comply with our HOA and Clatsop County requirements.

You`ll receive a reminder the following day if it`s not completed. Please note, if this information isn`t fully provided, we reserve the right to not honor the reservation.

House Rules

To ensure a comfortable and respectful experience for everyone, we have a few important guidelines:

Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours between 10 PM and 7 AM.

Fire Pit: Kindly extinguish the fire pit by 10 PM.

Hot Tub & Patio: Due to HOA restrictions, hot tub and patio use is prohibited after 10 PM.

Pets: We welcome non-shedding dogs under 50 lbs, but all pets must be pre-approved before your check-in. Please contact us in advance to discuss bringing your furry friend!

Respect for Neighbors: We ask that guests respect our neighbors. Noise complaints may result in an immediate $750 fine.

Visitors: For the safety and privacy of all, no visitors or unregistered guests are permitted at any time during your stay. Unauthorized visitors are grounds for immediate eviction and a $1,000 fine.

Accommodations: RVs, motorhomes, and tents are not permitted on the property.

Security: For your safety, onsite security cameras are operational 24/7.

Events: Please note that no events or receptions are allowed on the property.

Fabulous Family Fun

The property is perfect for gathering with family and the location is perfect for uncrowded fun. I'm not sure what the kids enjoyed more, chasing waves at the beach or paddling around the lake in a canoe!

Loved it. Posted on FB how much fun we all had. We had so much to do inside and outside that it didn’t matter it rained. Would recommend this home and am starting to look at another stay with my siblings next time.

Another great stay!

This is the second time that my family and I have stayed at this location. This home was perfect for our family get together with our adult son, his girlfriend, my mother-in-law ( with her two small poodles), my husband, and I. It could easily accommodate more people, so next year we are hoping our other son will be able to join…Yes, we are hoping to make this an annual vacation spot, since it is fairly close to most of the family.

Thanksgiving Mini Vacation

I loved our stay in this lake house. We made our Thanksgiving dinner there and it was amazing in just a few days the memories we made there. The property was beautiful and well maintained. I would love to come during the summertime and enjoy the outdoors more. Thank you!

Far better than expected

Wonderful family experience. Extremely welcoming with so many extra touches, you feel pampered and taken care of in all the right ways. Beds are very comfortable with amenities all around to assure that your experience is a memorable one. Private location, crickets, deer, birds of all kinds…It is s truly a magical place to relax and enjoy family time. Already planning our return. Host is just as gracious as this home is. Highly recommend this property.

What a great place for a family get together!

This was a perfect place for a family vacation with our adult children and their significant others. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us to spread out, and between the pool table, foozball , and ping pong there was plenty to do indoors while it was storming outside. The kitchen was perfectly set up to cook a family Holiday dinner, and I love the Christmas decorations our host had set up making this house our home while we were there.

Magical Property

We spent 5 days with our family here and wish we could have stayed longer! There was so much to do at the property that my parents never left the house while we were there. The short drive to the beach was a great added bonus but really the lake could have kept me entertained the whole stay. You definitly won't regret renting this home and the owners are extremely pleasant to work with!

Fabulous Summer Fun

We had our four adult children and partners here for a get together weekend. The place was perfect, just as described; and we loved the amenities - kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and fishing. The outdoor cooking area was large and perfect for our group, and we enjoyed the evening fires in the fire pit! We also walked to the ocean; easy walk and great beach. Mo was very responsive and accommodating. Great place!

Wonderful property

This place had everything we needed to have a fun lake and ocean trip with our family. We were right on the lake and a 20 min walk to the beach. They had a high chair and pack and play for our kiddo! There was plenty of space and tons of games and water sports to enjoy! Overall was an awesome birthday trip. Thank you!

Wonderful Place - great for the family

Visited for a family reunion of 11 people. Grandparents - parents - grandkids (8-13yrs). Great experience with tons of activities to keep everyone entertained (Foosball, pool, ping-pong..etc). The boating was also excellent, this house is right on the water and the boats are right there. Turns out the "beach-front" houses on the beach side face sand dunes, so this house actually give direct water access, rather than the houses on ocean side. House was well kept up and everything worked. Overall, had an excellent stay - would highly recommend.

8th Grade Trip

The property was serene, beautiful and safe. There was ample room inside and out for everyone to be comfortable. Canoeing and kayaking were very easy on the lake and the beach was a short walk away. My students also enjoyed the basketball court at one of the parks near-by. It was great being so close to all of our other activities (Highlife Adventure Park, Astoria Ghost Tour, hiking...). The hot tub and sauna were very nice and the fire pit was a big hit! Bikes were well maintained. This is a gem of a vacation rental for a large group!

Beautiful lake house with lots of amenities.

My partner and I rented this lake house because of all the outdoor activities available with the property. It did not disappoint! We used the canoe and the fishing boat several times. The neighborhood has great labeled trails to the beach. We saw eagles, beavers, cranes, deer and elk while we were there. The fire pit was perfect for evening s’mores when we were not playing pool or ping pong. It is a perfect location for a family with children of all ages with plenty of activities to keep everyone happy. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Property had lots to offer, sauna, spa, dock. Owner did not know inventory of gear on property. Specifically we asked if they had a crab pot for soaking overnight, they said no but indeed they had one after we had to pack our own and bring. There was a mouse in the laundry room. Location not ideal, tucked way into the community, quite a drive off the freeway so took significant time to get to a grocery store. Lots of confusion at check out. Charged us extra for cleaning for basic things like sweeping kitchen floors.

This is an amazing home on the coast!

While our original plan was to have some friends join us, that didn't work out at the last minute. However, the two of us still had a fabulous time at this wonderful home. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen very well stocked, and the outdoor amenities were amazing including the firepit. My husband fished from the dock, the kayaks were great on the lake, the view was lovely and we had an easy walk to the beach. The beach, at least during our July stay, was very lightly attended so our dog had a great time running along the beach and in the surf. Communication with owner was excellent. We loved our relaxing time here and will definitely plan to come back when we visit the coast again--perhaps next time with grandkids. They'd love the entire setup too, with swings, foosball, sand toys, and all the other options. A great home!

So Much More Than Before!!

I stayed at this same property last year and the place was great! This year we showed up to an entirely new experience! The back patio has been completely redone. The new hot tub was hot when we got there. We cooked a pizza in the new pizza oven. There is also a new smoker, bbq, and furniture. All covered, by the way, so when the coastal mist rolled in we did not have to move the party inside! I was able to catch bass right off the dock! Took the paddle boards out. There was so much to do at the house, not all of us made down to the beach. Which is just a few minutes down a path. We kept finding more stuff to do up until we left. I have a felling that there was still more…

Great Family Get Away

We enjoyed this house with all it's amenities very much. The kids were able to keep busy at all times "happy kids, happy parents". The home accommodated 4 adults, 2 teenagers & 2 younger children very comfortably. The ocean beach was a short drive from the home and was a great spot to spend the entire day. While at the home the kids spent most of their time fishing from the canoes and paddle boat. If I had to give any critique it would be that the fishing gear and toys "canoes, paddle boat, etc." do need a little TLC as all rods had some issues and a few of the boat paddles were broken, but I would imagine it is hard to keep up on them with them getting so much use. That was meant more as passing information onto owner than as a complaint. We were able to fix enough rods for the kids to still enjoy them. We would definitely recommend putting this on your list for a family vacation if you have kids.

Wonderful location

We loved having a private doc to fish from! We were hoping to use the paddle boat and the fishing boat, but we’re a little disappointed to find both had a good amount of water in them. The paddle boat was missing a back rest, the fishing boat had a seat at the bottom of the hull with no current registration and the large floaty was filthy and half flat. We also looked forward to playing pool, but unlike what you see on Facebook, the pool table is in the garage and too close to the furnace to be useable. There is a coffee maker but don’t forget you coffee at home, as there is no courtesy coffee like you would expect. However, there are more pots, pans, glasses, and spices than I have seen at any other vacation rental. All in all, we very much enjoyed our time here and would go back again. It is really set up very well for a large group of people, so maybe we will bring friends in the future.

This place has everything!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lakefront property. There are so amenities there! The firepit, hot tub, boats, bicycles, floating dock, outdoor swing, outdoor kitchen and covered patio, horseshoe pit, sand “corral”, and playset for the kids. And then indoors, a tv in every room, sauna, game room with foosball and air hockey, and pool table and ping pong table in the garage. Also in a closet there were many games, books and toys. The kitchen was well-stocked. Every day we witnessed deer walking on the property and once saw a herd of elk crossing the lake! There is also a resident great blue heron and bald eagle. We didn’t catch any fish, then later noticed there are otters in the lake! My daughter tried walking to the beach, but ended up not going because she was uncomfortable going through someone else’s yard? But it was a short drive to a beach anyway. One thing I would mention, though: if someone needs a house with five bedrooms, this house actually has four. The fifth “bedroom” in the listing is actually a small game room with a futon. Also, the bunk beds are in the very large master bedroom, which was very nice, but if no one wants to sleep with children in the same room, this might be an issue. The other three bedrooms are very nice. There is one bathroom in the hall for the other three bedrooms. It’s the only one with a bathtub. The third bathroom is at the other end of the house next to the kitchen; it contains the sauna room. Great place, worth the price!

Fantastic lake house that has it all!

We’ve been lucky enough to stay at this beautiful home multiple times. Each year we come back there’s something new to enhance your stay. I think we did most of it this trip again- fishing, kayaks, hot tub, game room, grill, etc! The house is always very clean and well stocked with any kitchen appliances you might need, too. We love to stay here!

Our family traveled the Oregon Coast from north to south, Astoria to Brookings, to explore the Oregon Coast. We settled on the Surf Pines Community and have lakefront property.

We built our lake house around 2003. I grew up at this house, making memories of my entire childhood with my friends' family members, and around 2010 we decided to open our home so other families could experience the property and make memories with their family and friends.

We hope you will enjoy our lake house and come back to visit often and tell your friends and family.

There is something to do for everyone in your group with private gatherings, a quiet gated community, and one-acre lakefront property with multiple amenities!

If your family enjoys deep sea fishing, the City of Warrenton has charter fishing boats depending on the season. My dad and I went Sturgeon fishing in Astoria, and we each caught a Sturgeon over 5 feet long. In addition, there are two golf courses within a mile from the house, an 18-hole Golf course, and a 9-hole Golf Course.

We are only 4 miles away north of Seaside, where your family can spend time playing miniature golf, bumper cars, tilt-a-whirl, and, let's not forget, the outlet malls! Also, the city of Astoria is 5 miles north of us, and you can climb up the famous Astoria Column.

Our guests refer to our vacation rental as " The Ultimate Family Reunion." There are multiple reasons why, and we encourage you to read our online guest reviews.

Hence, for any gatherings excluding children and family get-togethers, prior approval is mandatory. Interested parties must send an inquiry before booking, and additional security fees might be imposed if the reservation falls outside our established guidelines. Rest assured, we thoroughly scrutinize all bookings to ensure they align with our Short-Term Permit guidelines. We are determined not to let disruptive guests spoil the experience for subsequent arrivals.

Our lake house is located on a one-acre parcel in a private gated community called Surf Pines and backs into Sunset Lake. We have a 30' floating dock, two 17 canoes, a four-passenger paddle boat, two paddleboards, three kayaks, and a 12-foot aluminum fishing boat with a trolling motor. A Swedish Sauna, a professional pool table, a PlayStation III (with games), a Wii console (with games), an Xbox 360 (with games), a volleyball court, a Foosball table, ping pong, and the amenities go on and on……

There is a Costco, Walmart, Starbucks, Fred Meyer, and Subway about a mile away, or if you like fishing, you might catch your dinner right in our backyard!
