Work from the lake or unplug. Just over an hour from Ottawa, serenity now.

Cabin on Muskrat lake with a covered front porch, beautiful panoramic view of the lake. Fully set up for remote work with a sit/stand up desk and large monitor. Back porch with a barbecue. Two bedrooms, one with a queen and one with a twin mattress (two stacked on top of each other in case you want to pull one off for an additional person ). Fully equipped kitchen. Full bathroom.

TV with firestick and HDMI hookups to BYOD. Bathroom has towels and soaps and toilet paper, All linens for the beds are there and extras. Washer and dryer.

There is a firepit on the edge of the lake that allows you to sit on the comfy couch on the porch and view the fire right in front of the lake and watch the sunset across the lake . Driveway has more than enough parking for several cars. There is a Kayak and lifejacket for a paddle. The short drive to the village of Cobden or beachburg allow you access to a local restaurants and shops, two famous Whitewater brewing locations (lakeside and Riverbarn).

Off-road biking the local village of Beachburg has (https://borcatrails.com/) offroad cycling association trail network. For white water kayakers or rafters, or just lazy river enthusiast it’s very close to Owl rafting. And for those who just want splash pads, it’s close to the largest splash pad in eastern Ontario https://splashvalley.ca/

Very pretty spot and quiet except some gunshots. Cottages quite close but little neighbour activity which was great.

Thank you so much and yes, it is open season for migratory birds currently, and on the opposite side of the lake to me, there are commonly duck hunters. They are always very careful to abide by the rules and would never shoot directly across the lake, but yes, I have heard them at this time of the year as well.
