This is a lovely spot! We had a winter experience to add to our summer stay earlier this year. Beautiful vistas and a very serene setting, with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Perfection!

This is a lovely property and the host is excellent. We had three generations of family (20s, 50s and 80s) and all had a great time.The chalet has everything you need, including space for everyone and a very usable kitchen and food preparation area. The night sky was beautiful. We look forward to returning to enjoy the fall colours.Great time and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic stay!

We had a fantastic family stay! The property was exactly what we were hoping for — peaceful, modern, and private, with plenty of space for our dog to run and a great view. We really appreciated the personal check-in and the tour of the waterfront trail and property boundaries.Days were spent paddling and swimming with the provided kayaks, exploring nearby towns, whitewater rafting, and relaxing with movie nights and campfires. The house was spotless and well-equipped.Just a note: the walk to the water takes about 8 minutes and the return is uphill — not a problem for us, but good to know.Highly recommend this property, and we hope to return if it’s still available!

We had such an amazing time here. The place is huge—114 acres—and completely private, which was exactly what we were looking for. We walked the trails every morning, and our dog was living her best life just running around and exploring. The view of the Ottawa River from the chalet is beautiful, and the whole property just feels completely peaceful and quiet.The chalet was spotless and had everything we needed. It felt like a real home, not just a rental. On the really hot days it was nice to step inside to cool down for a bit, but most of the time we were outside kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing by the water. We saw deer every day, along with wild turkeys, turkey vultures, and even bald eagles, which was amazing to see.Louis, the owner, was a real stand-out. He was extremely attentive, easy to talk to and even gave us a personal tour of the property, which made it easy to find all the trails and the best spots to check out.If you want total privacy, lots of space, and a quiet place to enjoy nature without giving up the comforts of home, this place is perfect. We will definitely be coming back! 10/10.

We're a couple in our fifties, we love to travel and have already listed the cottage on Home Exchange for a few years with alot of success. (https://www.homeexchange.com/holiday-home/2220288)
and have recently decided to also offer it for rental on this platform.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the property back in 2015 and built this ''off the grid'' cottage in 2022-23. The view is incredible as the cottage is 150 feet up above the Ottawa river. It is very secluded and just under 1/2 KM away from the street.

What makes this property unique

This is no just a cottage, it provides access to a very large property right on the water and with the possibility to walk on over 4 KM of trails to enjoy watching the wild life.
