We completely loved Whatcom Lake and Bellingham. The location of the lake house was perfect for us. The house was clean with comfy beds. The house views and outdoor spaces were perfect.
We have been vacationing in the Bellingham area for years and this was by far our most enjoyable stay. The locations was great as it afforded easy access to downtown and all the other places we love to visit . At the same time if we had never left the house we would have been fine. From kayaking, to swimming just feet away from the house, to fires on the beach and the wonderful time spent on the patio grilling the house was an oasis. Do yourself a favor and book a visit.
Terrific location with a sandy beach. Bass fishing from private dock. Lawn for games. Very responsive and accommodating host. Air conditioning works great. Fully stocked kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay!
We had an excellent time here at Agate Bay! Barbara was a terrific communicator and the house was clean with a beautiful lakefront setting. The upstairs layout is a bit odd, however. In order to access the two smaller bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, you must go through the master bedroom. The master bedroom was also lacking a functional door to the hallway/staircase. Thankfully, this didn’t affect us as we were the only ones seeping upstairs, but if you’re looking for complete privacy, you may want to check in with the host.
The house and property is beautiful and we greatly enjoyed our stay! Would be awesome to come back in the summer months and take advantage of the outdoor patio and lake activities.
We had the most wonderful time on Lake Whatcom in this beautiful property. The best part is, by far, the location, private beach, and a view that we truly did not want to leave! The house is definitely dated, but they've done a great job with decor & upscaling the vibe as much as they could. Overall, you've got a million dollar view in a lovely, clean house & it made for a relaxing, wonderful family time. Being able to use the kayak & paddle board was a highlight — something none of us had done before & s'mores by the fire at night were great! Barbara, the property manager was very friendly and easy to get a hold of. She left out a high chair for our little one (there is also a crib which was awesome!) & new propane for the grill. This is such a gem if you're looking for a relaxing getaway in some northwest beauty! We definitely hope to be back!
This was a wonderful property right on the lake. Spent 5 nights. Photos and reviews accurate. Kitchen well-stocked with anything you need to prepare family meals. Beds comfortable. Enjoyed the big lawn for outdoor games, etc. Kids frolicked in lake every day, caught a few small bass off the dock! Everyone had a great time and wants to go back next year!
