About this property

The "Sausalito South" was renovated a year ago and is a larger than normal houseboat located on dock C in Venice Marina, lots of room to tie up your own boats or have your charter pick you up on the back deck. Four bedrooms with 5 full sized beds and two bunk bedrooms sleep 13 comfortably. A large bar with ice maker and full kitchen and living area make this a great place to stay while in Venice Marina. Additional small commercial ice maker inside makes ice fast and stays cold.

Perfect place for our fishing trip

The place was perfect for our fishing trip. The boat guides were even able to pick us up at the back of the boat and drop us off each day.

Perfect location and clean

This place is great. Perfect for a group of fisherman looking for a fun base camp. It’s older and has a few small quirks but it’s very clean and has everything needed for what we wanted. Will definitely book it again.

Fishing weekend

Property was nice in terms of a fish camp boat house. Plenty of room for the 6 adults in our party. Host was very responsive to any need we had along the way. Charter was able to pick us up at the house which was very convenient. The patio over the water was just right for us to share some time catching up. I would suggest replacing the grill and updating pots/pans. Other than that the stay was nice and memorable.

Boathouse Review

The property was nice. The only issue was the foul smell coming from the master bathroom. Besides that everything was great.

Why they chose this property

This property is nice and updated, but it is a camp. Occasionally with high temperatures and sometimes with many people the septic system has a tendency to smell and needs time to "catch up" with the amount of people etc. It is not the smell of the camp it is a system that occasionally gets taxed. I just feel like some people need to know an understand this before deciding on staying here with a lot of people.
