Beautiful home, very close to Liberty, shopping, and restaurants. We enjoyed relaxing on the large back deck. Host had everything we needed in the home and was prompt in getting our check-in information to us.

Great weekend

We enjoyed this neat home during our stay for a long weekend. Home was as advertised and clean. It included all the little furnishings and things that help make it feel like home away from home.

This property and Evolve provided a poor experience from the start. We arrived at the correct 4:00 pm check‑in time, only to find the cleaning crew arriving at the same moment. They apologized and said the home hadn’t been cleaned because “they were at the ball field all day.” Attempts to reach the owner were unsuccessful — the number provided connected only to the cleaners — and instead of the owner calling us back, Evolve contacted us. Because of this delay, we stood outside in 90‑degree heat for two hours and were late for a wedding rehearsal dinner.The listing was misleading. The front stairs were extremely steep and covered in leaves and acorns, making them unsafe. There was no alternative entrance for guests with mobility issues. The listing also mentioned a driveway, but it was only a small indentation in the curb that barely fit one vehicle. The back deck was so covered in debris that it couldn’t be used at all.I requested compensation for the inconvenience and the impact on our schedule, but Evolve’s response was not acceptable.

Our records indicate that guests were provided access to the home immediately upon arrival, allowing belongings to be brought inside while cleaning was completed by 5:51 PM, less than an hour after arrival. Recent high winds and rain had brought debris onto the entry steps, which our cleaning crew addressed. We also appreciate your comments regarding the stairs, driveway, and deck. As the designated property management partner, Evolve handled communication and the compensation discussion on our behalf. Our local team worked diligently to minimize the inconvenience, and we remain committed to providing a welcoming, well-prepared home for every guest.

great neighborhood, great location, quiet, house has tons of things you’d need on your stay. House was bright and the right size for our family.- we arrived late at night and the front porch light was not working, come to find out the switch is taped up to stay on but the bulb must be burned out- as it never came on and made it very dark to come and go.- the front bolt lock is very confusing and took us multiple times and a phone call to you to get in. It also never locked when we followed instructions to lock we always arrived home with an unlocked door.- there was a fire alarm laying on the dresser with a battery next to it, not installed.- tons of dirt and items under the couch- clearly is never cleaned- upstairs has a suitcase under the twin bed- very odd and probably should be removed- kitchen sink seemed very dirty when we arrived - check out instructions are different than the email and the ones in the binder are buried in the middle of things to do- you may want to move this up to front took me several times of reading the book to find it - bathroom upstairs shower curtain doesn’t go to the floor so water leaks out while showering - downstairs bathroom shower door isn’t full so water gets all over the floor while showering - fireplace remote doesn’t work

Nice House, Great Location, Good for Family of 4-5

This property is in a great location in Lynchburg. I'm sure our experience was a one off, but it wasn't the best VRBO experience. The property was nice with a tree house feel as listed with a large deck and two individual decks off the upstairs bedrooms. It was adequately supplied with towels, linens, etc. However, it wasn't clean. There were coffee grounds left in the coffee pot and they molded and the coffee pot in general was nasty. There was leftover hair in the shower and the floors seemed a little dirty. The kitchen sink had remnants of something all over it. Although the decks were in a wooded area under the trees. They were covered in small limbs and didn't look they had been cleaned off. It was pollen season so the chairs were covered. Being a tree house feel and setting, there were plenty of bugs (as described in the booklet when we arrived). A property manager contacted us and very kindly offered to send someone to take care of the unclean areas but by then we had already done some cleaning. Again, this seemed to be an isolated incident, but when you pay the amount you pay for one of these, you expect things to be clean and ready. Just seemed like the cleaning crew didn't clean...but I'm sure we were charged for it in our rental. Lastly, if you like to sit in bed or on the couch and read...there are no lamps. There is not one lamp in this house...on the night stands, tables, etc... Lights full on or full off. No soft lighting.
