Clarks Country Cottage – A Peaceful Rural Retreat

Escape to this cute, country-style cottage set just outside Taupo. It’s a relaxed, no-fuss spot for guests wanting a quiet stay with easy access to town while still enjoying a rural outlook.

The cottage has two bedrooms: one with a queen bed, the other with two singles. With the compact kitchen and overall layout, it’s best suited to two adults, or up to four guests who don’t mind a simple setup.
Please note the property isn’t suitable for children under 12 due to safety considerations.

You’ll have a bathroom, washing machine, plenty of off-street parking, Wi-Fi, and linen provided making it the perfect base for your next Taupo trip.
The kitchen is small but equipped with the basics for light meals.

Important note: The cottage runs on a sustainable septic system, so only biodegradable products should go down the toilet, sinks and shower. Please avoid flushing items like wipes, sanitary products, fats or harsh chemicals, as they can block the system and set off the alarm. If a misuse issue causes a blockage, the call-out fee may be passed on.

When making a booking request please include information on the age range of the guests intending to stay and your plans for while you are in Taupō.

We have a strict no large group or parties policy, disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated. If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted.

You will be required to complete a check in form prior to arrival (excluding identity verified, Airbnb accounts) which will include a copy of your ID and the details of all guests intending to stay at the property. Failure to complete this form will result in the booking being cancelled.

The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. For breakages or damages be aware that you will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee. It`s your responsibility to familiarise yourself with potential hazards or situations during the stay and take appropriate care or actions if needed.

All properties must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were. A general service clean is included, but if the property requires extra cleaning, you could be charged an additional $50.00 per hour, this includes BBQ’s, excess rubbish, soiled linen and odour removal.

All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions and House Rules.
