Romantic getaway or weekend away with the kids? This private cottage nestled amongst rolling lawns is the perfect way to push reset. Located in Acacia Heights with a semi-rural outlook, you are able to enjoy the relaxing feeling of being surrounded by nature yet only an 8-minute drive to Taupo's main centre.

Start your day off with a morning stroll or 2-minute drive to L'Arte Cafe & Gallery where you can enjoy a visual and edible feast. Complete your day with a glass of your favourite beverage in the garden pergola taking in breath taking views back towards Taupo's township or relax in the spa pool right outside your kitchen door.

The Acacia Heights Garden Cottage is self-contained with a kitchenette, bathroom and dining area. The Living room and bedroom is all in one shared space with indoor/outdoor flow. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a ceramic stovetop, mini oven and microwave for cooking. Keep cool in the summer and toasty warm in the winter at the push of a button electric heating/cooling system.

The Acacia Heights Garden Cottage is a popular spot for a couple or a family of up to 4 sharing the same cozy space.

Strictly no parties, events or loud groups permitted. Linen and exit clean included in the nightly rate.

Great House and Location

This place was perfect for us - had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. The hot tub and espresso machine were very nice additions. Very quiet and private. Definitely recommend for a couple or small family.

Beautiful, relaxing

Beautifully presented apartment, plent of space, and in a nice, private environment. It's not a long drive to Taupo town, so we could do things during the day and retreat away from the crowds in the evening. Lovely to have a spa at the ready, too! Enjoyed staying here, and would do so again.

Acacia Bay getaway

Really enjoyed our stay at the Acacia Bay Cottage. Was really easy to access and was a sufficient distance from Taupō town to be really quiet and subdued, but still only about ten minutes away from everything. No views at all, but the site is absolutely delightful. Great bach, would certainly recommend. Thank you!

Christmas holidays 2023

Enjoyed the peaceful spot away from the crowds. Very well equipped property with everything you need and more. Our only complaint was the water pump on the wall outside by the bed kept going off throughout the night and being light sleepers, it did wake us every night. Apart from this, we really enjoyed our stay.

The garden cottage

What a lovely property. We stayed 4 nights and had a lovely time, even in the rain! The spa pool was lovely and perfect being under cover so able to be used in all weather. The only thing I would suggest that the cottage was lacking in was electric blankets. It was pretty cold at times. Some heating in the dining area and bathroom would also be a nice addition. Thanks for having us. What a beautiful spot!

The photos look great but didn't realise we were staying in a bunker eg. Surrounded by a bank with no view. The kitchen area needs a good scrubbing including the walls and floors and cobwebs and squashed bugs on roll down curtains. The spa pool is tired and headrests need replacing. When we come on holiday and pay close to $300 we dont expect to see notes stating you need empty rubbish do dishes etc. This should be included in the price.
