WHAT’S NEARBY
This fantastic home is situated in a prime location, making it easy to explore Maine's central coast. Birdwatchers and hikers will love the Hardwood Hill Island Nature Preserve, where you can paddle over at your leisure and watch for eagles, osprey, and waterfowl, or drop a line into the water and fish for bass, perch, and even salmon. Check out Acadia National Park for additional hikes, wildlife, and glacier-scoured granite peaks like Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the East Coast. Just 19 miles south, catch the weekend Downeast Scenic Railroad for a 90-minute trip back in time, or stop by one of Ellsworth's many restaurants for a lobster roll, just 17 miles away.
