Welcome to Colony Inn Unit 12, a comfortable and inviting retreat on beautiful Sanibel Island. Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals, this charming escape is set within the peaceful Colony Inn community, offering a relaxing place to unwind while still being close to everything the island has to offer. From local cafés and casual dining to boutique shopping, scenic bike paths, and the island's well-known nature preserves, you'll find plenty to explore just moments away.
Inside, the home offers a bright and welcoming atmosphere designed for ease and comfort. The spacious living area is perfect for relaxing after a day out—whether you're enjoying a quiet evening in, watching a favorite movie, or simply spending time together in a calm and comfortable setting. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the essentials needed to prepare meals, snacks, or a leisurely breakfast at your own pace.
The primary bedroom features a plush king-size bed, creating a restful space to recharge and settle in after a full day of exploring. A queen sleeper sofa in the living area provides additional sleeping arrangements, making the unit a flexible option for couples, families, or small groups.
Whether you're here for a weekend reset or an extended stay, Colony Inn Unit 12 offers a relaxed and welcoming home base for enjoying the best of Sanibel Island living at your own rhythm.
House Rule: No smoking. No burning candles inside of lodging. No parties. No Pets.
Laundry facilities are conveniently located on each floor of both buildings for guest use.
Please Note : We're continuing our efforts to maintain and improve the property with enhancements taking place at Building 2 from May 4th through end of June 2026. During this time Building 2 is closed. Work will be conducted Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to approximately 3:30 PM.
Guests in Building 1 and around the pool area should experience minimal impact, though occasional daytime renovation noise may be heard. For safety, some areas of the grounds may be temporarily restricted while work is underway.
We appreciate your understanding as we make these improvements and look forward to welcoming you!

Had the best experience with the property and its host- 10/10 communication. Beautiful location, close to beach, very clean, equipped with everything we needed, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen utensils. Thank you for a beautiful week at the beach!

Wonderful place to celebrate birthdays
We had a great time on our birthdays at the Colony Inn. We live in the Fort Myers area so it was an easy getaway. Beach-pool- lunch -nap and repeat. Beautiful accommodations and property, heavenly beach and great restaurants. What more could anyone want?!?!!

We had a great time here. All we did is get food at bel bagel and deli and hang out on the beach and in the gulf. It was very relaxing and comfortable. Everything was perfect. Marcia and Michael in the office were exceedingly kind and accommodating.

Great place to stay!
Wonderful place to stay! Very clean, neat as a pin. The kitchen, small but well organized and equipped. Can make own ice and get extra ice at the ice maker near the pool. Nice pool and grounds. Well cared for. Very close to the beach!! Beach chairs and umbrellas available at the office (free). We loved our stay here!!-
P.S. A small drying rack would have been helpful in the screened in porch to hang wet swim suits. Thank you!
