Set behind a lush fenced garden in northwest Carmel, Twin Briar Cottage is a storybook retreat designed for longer stays on the Monterey Peninsula. The home combines classic Carmel charm with the comfort of a real residence: a main cottage, a detached guest cottage, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a private office, a fireplace, outdoor dining, and peaceful garden spaces.

The main house offers a warm, inviting living room with a gas fireplace, a comfortable dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a dedicated office for remote work or quiet reading. The detached guest cottage adds rare flexibility, with its own queen bedroom, private bathroom, and Smart TV — ideal for grandparents, visiting family, an adult child, a second couple, or anyone who wants a little extra privacy.

Outside, the fully fenced garden is one of the home’s defining features. Roses, mature landscaping, outdoor seating, and a BBQ area create the feeling of a private Carmel hideaway — perfect for morning coffee, relaxed dinners, or unwinding after a day at the beach, in Pebble Beach, Carmel Valley, Monterey, or Big Sur.

Wonderful northwest Carmel location with easy access to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and Highway One so you can reach all the local attractions and nearby towns including Monterey, Pebble Beach® and Pacific Grove. Perfect for day-tripping to see the redwoods and stunning coastline of Big Sur or heading east 12 miles to Carmel Valley Village and exploring Monterey County wine country. Nature-lovers will enjoy Exploring Point Lobos State Reserve, miles of sandy beaches and local hiking/walking trails.

Living Spaces
The main part of the house is two levels, approximately 1,150 sf and has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plus a den/office. The small guest cottage is about 200 sf and has another bedroom and a private bathroom.
The living room has a gas fireplace and a Smart TV with streaming options (no cable). Guests should bring the logins to their own streaming subscriptions for all TVs in the home.
The office space is handy for staying connected and doing a spot of work while you are away.
Upstairs is a cozy reading nook, a perfect retreat for one, whether reading or watching the small TV.

The home is surrounded by a lovely fully fenced garden, particularly beautiful when the roses are in bloom and a grill is on hand for outdoor barbecues.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner.
