All the charm of old Carmel plus modern convenience is what guests will discover at this cottage built in 2001, located in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood that’s close to everything, yet off the beaten path. Comfortable, casual rustic decor and a backyard fire pit make this a special gathering place for family and friends.

The 1,589 sf, 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is just a few blocks from shopping and fine dining in Carmel, and also close to popular venues such as Sunset Center, Pacific Repertory Theatre and the outdoor Forest Theater. It’s also just 10 minutes by car to the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach®, to Monarch butterfly sightings in Pacific Grove, or to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Other attractions within a half hour’s drive are the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.

Living Space
Antique furniture and original artwork give this home a vintage vibe that is light and bright, with windows throughout that let in generous amounts of natural light. The centrally located kitchen makes meals a snap to prepare, and the backyard offers space for watching the stars at night through the tall Monterey pines.

The front door, flanked by ferns and rhododendrons, opens onto an entryway with easy access to the living room, which offers a bay window, gas fireplace with a Carmel stone surround, and comfortable seating, a perfect place to relax, watch the 46-inch HDTV or read.

Kitchen and Dining
Counter seating for two is also available in the kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances, including a four-burner Viking gas stove and a Miele dishwasher, as well as a double sink. Adjacent to the living room and kitchen is the dining room, with a rustic wooden table that seats six under a deer antler chandelier. Nearby shelves provide a small library of books of local and regional interest.

French doors from the dining room open onto the back deck, which features a fire-pit surrounded by patio seating and a gourmet gas grill. Well-equipped for extended stays!

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedrooms are located along a hallway that ends with Bedroom #1, a suite which features a king-sized bed with luxury bedding in tones of blue, gray and white, a cozy window seat, desk and comfortable upholstered chair. French doors open onto the central patio area. The large en suite bathroom features a dressing area, two-person shower with built-in seat, custom tile work, and dual sinks.

Bedroom #2 offers a queen bed, and Bedroom #3 has two twin beds and a 46-inch wall-mounted HDTV. The guest bedrooms have windows with views of “pocket gardens” on the wooden fence outside.
A full hall bath with a shower-over-tub combination is located near the guest bedrooms.

A washer and dryer, as well as an ironing area, are available in the garage. The garage is not available for parking but parking for one vehicle is available in the driveway and another parking spot directly in front of the house is typically available.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.
