About the host
Hosted by Raymond Cardinal
Hi, we’re Ray and Keisha. We live in Canada and enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family. We created The Owl House to be a comfortable and welcoming place for visitors to Calgary.
We enjoy hosting guests from all over and take pride in providing a clean, well-prepared space where people can relax after a day of work, visiting family, or exploring the city. Being pet lovers ourselves, we also know how important it is to have a place where guests can travel comfortably with their pets.
Our goal is simple: to provide a smooth, comfortable stay and a home base where guests feel welcome. If you need recommendations for things to do around Calgary, we’re always happy to help.

Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it offers a great balance of quiet residential comfort and convenient access to Calgary’s main destinations.
The area is peaceful and family-friendly, with nearby parks, walking paths, and local amenities just a short drive away. At the same time, it’s very convenient for visitors coming to Calgary for work or medical stays, with the University of Calgary, Foothills Medical Centre, and Alberta Children’s Hospital all close by.
One of the things we enjoy most about the location is how easy it is to get around. Downtown Calgary is a short drive away, and the home also has quick access to the highway heading west toward Banff, Canmore, and the Rocky Mountains, making it a great base for both city visits and mountain trips.
It’s a comfortable, practical area that works well whether guests are visiting family, exploring Calgary, or passing through on their way to the mountains.

What makes this property unique
One of the things that makes The Owl House unique is its layout. The home includes two private suites under one roof — The Owl (main floor) and The Owlet (basement suite) — which makes it ideal for families or groups traveling together. Guests can spend time together while still having separate living areas, kitchens, and sleeping spaces when they want a little privacy.
The property is also pet friendly with a fully fenced backyard, which many guests appreciate when traveling with dogs.
Another feature guests enjoy is the spacious bedroom in The Owlet suite, which offers extra room and comfort compared to many basement suites.
Overall, The Owl House provides a comfortable and flexible setup that works well for groups, families, and travelers who want the convenience of staying together while still having their own space.
