The Space:

Basil Inn is an immaculately presented, modern home on the Owhata side of Rotorua - light, spacious and set up for a relaxed stay. The heart of it is the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, flowing through sliding doors to a fully covered deck that makes alfresco meals a go in any weather.

- BATHROOMS -

Two full bathrooms. The main bathroom is beautifully appointed with a soaking tub, separate shower and floating vanity; the second has a shower and vanity serving the other bedrooms.



- LIVING AREA -

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is a light-filled spot designed for entertaining. The kitchen has a full gas range and oven, stainless dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, wine rack and a generous island bench with four bar stools, plus air fryer, microwave and coffee maker. The dining table seats six and opens straight onto the covered deck. The main lounge has two recliner sofas, air conditioning and a wall-mounted TV, and a separate snug off the living area adds a second TV and built-in bench seating - a great kids' retreat or quiet reading nook.



- OUTDOOR AREA -

A fully covered deck runs off the living area with a six-seat timber setting and a Weber BBQ, ideal for meals outdoors whatever the weather. The front and back yards are fully fenced.



- PARKING -

Double internal-access garage plus a wide concrete driveway with plenty of extra off-street parking.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive use of the whole home - all indoor living areas, the covered deck and BBQ, the double garage and the fully fenced front and back yards. You'll receive a door code before arrival for self check-in at your convenience.



The Neighborhood:

Basil Inn sits in a quiet, well-established residential pocket on the Owhata side of Rotorua, close to everything while staying peaceful and easy to come home to. You're only a few minutes from the Whakarewarewa Redwoods Forest trails and Te Puia's geysers, with the lakefront and city-centre restaurants, cafes and supermarkets a short drive on, and Skyline's gondola and luge, Canopy Tours and Zorb over on the far side of town. Tree-lined streets and a relaxed suburban feel make it a comfortable, family-friendly base.



Getting Around:

A car is the easiest way to explore Rotorua and the wider Bay of Plenty, and there's ample parking at the property. Rotorua Airport is just 5 minutes away, the Redwoods and Te Puia around 7, the city centre and lakefront about 10, and Skyline, Canopy Tours and Zorb roughly 17 minutes on the western side of town. Day trips to Wai-O-Tapu, Tauranga and Hobbiton are all within comfortable reach.



Other Things to Note:

WIFI runs at around 250 Mbps. Check-in is self-service via a door code sent before you arrive. The home has air conditioning in the main living area and a heat pump in the master bedroom for year-round comfort.
