The off grid space is thoughtfully laid out with an open living and sleeping zone, a compact kitchen, and a separate bathroom with full sized shower — everything you need for a comfortable coastal stay.
The spectacular Sandy Point dog friendly surf beach an easy 12 minute walk or 4-minute bike away. Shallow Inlet, renowned for fishing is a 5-minute car ride away.
Positioned adjacent to the property's main residence, the tiny home is carefully situated for complete privacy, looking out over open farmland and a large dam alive with birdlife — a natural spectacle that shifts with every season and time of day.
A note on privacy: During peak holiday periods, the tiny home cannot be booked independently. Both the main residence (6 guests) and the tiny home (2 guests) must be booked together as a combined 8-guest booking. Outside of peak season, the tiny home can be booked on its own. During this time the adjacent main residence will be unoccupied and unavailable for rental, meaning the property is yours to enjoy in complete solitude.
SUPPLIES ~ Full linen & towel service is provided ~ Firewood available for purchase at $10 per bag (seasonal outside fire restriction dates) ~ Outdoor games, ie Finska, boules, badminton, volleyball, croquet, etc ~ Beach equipment available, ie beach shelters, chairs, surfboard, etc ~ High chairs, portable cots and baby washing tub are available if requested ~ Basic pantry items supplied - oil, salt, pepper, tea/coffee, sugar, milk ~ Biodegradable toiletries supplied - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc
OFF-GRID SPECIFICS This is an off-grid home, so a few things to keep in mind: Power — The property runs entirely on solar and battery power. Please be mindful of high-draw appliances such as hairdryers and fan heaters to avoid depleting the battery. Water — The property relies solely on tank water, so please keep showers short to conserve supply. Tiny Home Compost Toilet — A compost toilet system is installed — instructions for use are displayed in the bathroom.
IMPORTANT NOTES/RULES ~ Dogs are to be under control at all times as this is a farming area, particularly around the dam - no swimming ~ Dogs are welcome, however must not permitted to sleep on the bed or furniture. A dog bed can be supplied in request ~ Please use supplied toilet paper - no wipes, nappies, or other rubbish to be put in toilet ~ Please use the supplied products which are biodegradable and compatible with our waste system ~ No firewood to be cut or collected from the farm paddocks or tree belts ~ The portable fire pit must not be moved from it's current position on the non-combustable pebbles ~ The fire must be attended to at all times and must be fully extinguished at bedtime or when not present ~ Use of the outdoor firepit is entirely at the guest’s own risk. By using it, guests acknowledge and accept that the Far South Paddock Tiny Home assumes no responsibility or liability for any injuries, damages, or accidents resulting from use ~ No unregistered guests or campers permitted ~ Guests will be charged for the repair or replacement of any items that are missing, stolen, or damaged during their stay. ~ Additional cleaning fees may apply if the property requires excessive cleaning beyond the standard post-stay clean.
In addition this property is set in a rural environment, therefore please be snake aware and do not venture into areas of long grass or the dam. We take no responsibility or liability for any injuries or accidents if you venture in these areas.
