The Sand Castle is our home away from home and we've spent a lot of time creating our ideal getaway. From our large collection of board games and books to our kayaks, we invite you to share some of our favourite things during your time at our beloved beach home.
Why they chose this property
With two living rooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, deck, BBQ, fire pit, and yard for lawn games, the Sand Castle is the ideal space for you to connect and unwind with friends and family.
Our three-bedroom home is set up with five beds (2 kings, 1 queen, and 1 bunk bed [as seen in the kids' playroom photos]) and is perfect for 6 adults and 2 kids. As exhausted parents, we are big fans of that ever-elusive good night of sleep and put a lot of attention into the mattresses and bedding we purchased for our home.
Walkable to the lively downtown core, the Sand Castle is situated on a quiet, wooded street and is *not* ideal for large gatherings, fireworks, or parties. (If in doubt, ask yourself, "Would Grandma dig this vibe?" If not, maybe we're not the right fit for your crew.)
But we hope we are because the Sand Castle offers the best of every world—bustling Sauble, beach walks, day trips, or a peaceful cup of coffee on the deck where you can hear the waves crushing into the shore.
So whether you want to spend your days at the beach or driving around the stunning Bruce Peninsula, come grab a drink, stick your toes in the sand, and get sun-soaked in Sauble.

What makes this property unique
We spend a lot of time at the Sand Castle, so we've curated a collection of our favourite things to share with you.
We're also in the heart of Sauble Beach, centrally located so you can walk to the beach or to get food, but enjoy a peaceful fire on our quiet street that's five blocks away from the hustle and bustle.
As parents, we know what it's like to travel with young children, so we provide plates/cups for children, as well as a potty seat, stool for the bathroom, pack 'n play, and booster seats for eating.
Our home is on a quiet street but backs onto Bruce Rd. 13, so you might hear a bit of traffic. If you're a sleep diva like us, we recommend you bring earplugs just in case!
The Sand Castle is set up for six adults and two kids. While we're okay with you having friends visit during the day, there's only sleeping for eight. Not adults plus your eight kids plus your grandparents plus your childhood best friend. Our home just doesn't have the space, permit, or power for that kind of gathering.
Speaking of which....
We operate on a septic system which basically just means you can't flush your ex's old diary or dead bodies down our toilets. ...We'll ask more questions about both of those later. But in the meantime: no flushing tampons or diapers either. Nothing anything except normal shit. Seems like common sense? Yeah, we think so, too. But for real: it's a big deal, so just like your mom we'll remind you about it 17 more times. xx
