Tucked privately away on our 10-acre Byron hinterland farm, Samsara Sanctuary is an adults-only retreat designed for slow living and deep rest. Earthy textures, restored vintage pieces and soft lighting create a space that feels warm, soulful and quietly luxurious. Spend your days soaking in the outdoor hot tub, cooking with local produce, lounging by the firepit beneath the stars and waking gently to birdsong and garden views.
The space Samsara Sanctuary is our newly reimagined two-bedroom retreat — intimate, calm and thoughtfully curated.
Inside, you'll find an eclectic farmhouse-meets-modern aesthetic, blending corrugated iron textures, timber warmth, vintage finds and carefully restored pieces collected over time. Every detail has been chosen with intention, creating spaces that invite you to settle in — read, cook, listen to music, share a meal or simply enjoy the luxury of an unhurried day.
The Sanctuary sleeps up to four adults across two queen bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom designed for deep sleep and unrushed mornings.
Ideal for couples, close friends, romantic escapes, creative retreats, writers, readers and anyone craving a true exhale from busy life.
While many guests spend much of their stay enjoying the farm, the Sanctuary is also perfectly positioned to explore the best of the Northern Rivers. Federal Village is just five minutes away, with Bangalow, Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads, waterfalls, beaches, galleries and exceptional local food all within easy reach.
Outdoor Living Step outside and let the property do what it does best — immerse you in beauty. Soak in the outdoor bath beneath the trees, linger over a glass of wine at dusk, prepare beautiful local produce in the kitchen or on the barbecue, and gather around the firepit as the stars emerge overhead. Watch the light change through the gardens by day and enjoy the remarkable night skies once evening settles across the hinterland.
About Samsara Farm Samsara Farm is a living landscape of gardens, food forest and regenerating bushland, lovingly shaped over the past five years. Guests are welcome to wander the property, explore the creek, visit the native bee hives, meet the chooks and discover the many quiet corners hidden throughout the gardens.
Guests often tell us the photos don't fully capture the feeling of being here. There is something special about waking to nature, watching black cockatoos drift across the valley and feeling the pace of everyday life begin to soften.
Whether you spend your stay exploring the region or barely leave the property at all, Samsara is designed to feel welcoming, grounding and deeply restorative.
Your hosts, Jane and Phil, live in the farmhouse nearby. We're always happy to help with recommendations, local knowledge or anything you might need during your stay, while fully respecting your privacy.
We love food, cooking and growing things, so if you're curious about the gardens, the land or what's currently flourishing in the food forest, we're always happy to share.
