About this property

The Sellicks Perch Unique Drive On Beach Adventure

Just steps from Sellicks Beach, one of the few South Australian beaches with drive-on sand access, this haven is an ideal base for exploring the Fleurieu Peninsula. Spend your days swimming, fishing or sampling McLaren Vale wines before returning to breezy interiors and leafy surrounds. A wraparound deck with ocean glimpses invites alfresco dining, while split-system heating and cooling ensure ultimate comfort. Blending coastal charm with modern conveniences, it's the perfect seaside escape.
Light-filled and effortlessly comfortable, this elevated beach house offers a calm and welcoming setting for a coastal getaway. The open-plan living area brings everyone together, with plush seating for unwinding after sun-soaked beach days, a beautifully styled dining setting for six that invites lingering meals and conversation, and a thoughtfully equipped kitchen with a butler's pantry and espresso machine for easy entertaining.

The wraparound deck makes the most of the home's elevated position, featuring an outdoor dining table for six for alfresco meals among the treetops, with leafy outlooks and glimpses of the ocean beyond. Tucked into one corner, a cosy seating nook offers the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee, lose yourself in a book or unwind between beach visits. Below, the private backyard extends the outdoor living space, while the outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse away salt and sand after a day at Sellicks Beach.

Both bedrooms continue the home's calm coastal feel, with soft styling, ceiling fans and direct access to the deck. The primary bedroom offers a queen bed and private ensuite, while the second bedroom features two single beds, creating a comfortable retreat for couples, friends or small families. A second bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower, and integrated laundry facilities makes it easy to refresh and recharge after days spent exploring the coastline.

For year-round comfort, the home is equipped with split-system heating and air conditioning in the living area and both bedrooms. The property offers free undercover parking for up to two vehicles in the carport beneath the home. Please note that height clearance is limited and may not accommodate larger vehicles. The home is elevated on stilts and accessed only via a flight of outdoor stairs.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire house to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!

Set where the Mount Lofty Ranges meet the long white sands of Sellicks Beach, this dramatic coastal location offers the best of seaside living. Sellicks Beach is just a short walk away, perfect for swimming, fishing, beach walks and sunset views. One of the few South Australian beaches with designated drive-on sand access, it is a favourite among families, day-trippers and surf fishers.

Just a three-minute walk away, The General at Sellicks and Ithaca at Sellicks are ideal for a morning coffee or casual meal. A short drive away, the iconic Victory Hotel is a destination in its own right, renowned for sweeping coastal views and an acclaimed menu showcasing local food and wine.

Just south of Sellicks Beach, the Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple of Australia and its 18-metre-tall Buddha goddess statue offer a unique cultural attraction. The home is also a great base for exploring McLaren Vale wineries and the beaches of Aldinga and Port Willunga.

Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
