## Welcome to Your Tri-State River Retreat

One of the most compelling reasons to choose this specific home is its

unparalleled access to a diverse array of landscapes and attractions. You are

perfectly positioned at the intersection of California, Arizona, and Nevada.

When you pull up to your private two-bedroom home in the historic center of

Needles, California, you are at the legendary crossroads of America. Situated

minutes from the sweeping currents of the Colorado River and Lake Havasu and

along the iconic path of Historic Route 66, this space is designed to be your

ultimate launchpad for desert exploration and riverfront relaxation.

From the moment you step through the front door of this charming, vintage-

decorated historic home, you will feel the outside world melt away. Whether

you are seeking a quiet refuge to unplug from the endless demands of modern

life, a homebase for boating, hiking, off-roading or gambling, you have found

exactly where you need to be. We have thoughtfully prepared every corner of

this 930-square-foot sanctuary to anticipate your needs, ensuring that your

focus remains entirely on making memories and connecting with the people who

matter most.

## Room-by-Room Comfort

**Living Room: ** After a day of driving through the desert passes or

adventuring the river current, you can flip on the AC to escape the heat, and

collapse into the comfortable seating. Connect your devices seamlessly to the

high-speed wireless internet to upload your photos, stream a movie or show, or

plan your next route. You can also find board games, puzzles and a few books

provided for some non-digital entertainment. When the Mojave chill sets in

during winter, simply switch on the heater, wrap yourself in a soft throw

blanket, and let the quiet stillness lull you into absolute comfort. For

larger groups, the addition of a futon-sofa that turns into a full bed allows

a fifth guest to rest comfortably.

**Full Kitchen: **One of the greatest joys of a private home is the ability

to dictate your own schedule, especially when it comes to dining. Step into

your fully equipped kitchen, so no need to bring cookware, dishes, or coffee

and tea. You have the freedom to eat what you want, when you want, in the

comfort of your own dining area, or take it out in the private shaded backyard

space.

**Primary Bedroom: **When your eyes grow heavy, retreat to the primary

bedroom, your personal sanctuary for rest and recovery. You're welcome to use

to wardrobe and dresser to keep your clothing organized and out of suitcases,

allowing you to truly settle in and treat the space as your own.

**Second Bedroom: **Traveling with family or close friends requires

flexibility, and the second bedroom delivers exactly that. The lighting is

soft and inviting, and the storage options mean no one has to trip over their

belongings. It is a space where guests can retreat for an afternoon nap or

read a book in peace, ensuring that everyone has their own private corner to

recharge.

**Bathroom: **Step into a space where you can wash away the remnants of your

outdoor excursions, and let the hot water soothe tired muscles. We provide

fresh, absorbent towels, allowing you to quickly transition from your daytime

adventures to your evening relaxation.

## Your Comprehensive Location and Adventure Guide

One of the most compelling reasons to choose this specific home is its

unparalleled access to a diverse array of landscapes and attractions. You are

perfectly positioned at the intersection of California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Here is a detailed guide to what awaits you just beyond your front door.

* **The Colorado River (5 minutes away):** The lifeblood of the region, the river is practically in your backyard. Access points like Jack Smith Park offer boat launches, swimming areas, and picnic spots. The river is perfect for jet skiing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing for striped bass and catfish. The water provides an immediate, refreshing escape from the desert heat.

* **Historic Route 66 (Immediate Access):** Needles is a proud staple of the Mother Road. You can spend hours just exploring the local history. Do not miss the El Garces Harvey House, a stunningly restored train depot that harkens back to the era of grand rail travel. Drive through town and spot the classic motels and neon signs that still stand as monuments to mid-century Americana.

* **Topock Gorge & Moabi Regional Park (20-minute drive):** Often referred to as a miniature Grand Canyon, Topock Gorge is a stunning section of the river accessible only by boat. Towering red rock walls plunge directly into the green water, creating a dramatic landscape perfect for photography and quiet exploration. Nearby Park Moabi offers excellent facilities for off-roading, boating, and family picnics.

* **Oatman, Arizona (45-minute drive):** Cross the river into Arizona and take the twisting, dramatic drive up the Black Mountains to the living ghost town of Oatman. This former gold-mining camp looks like a movie set. Wild burros, descendants of the miners' pack animals, roam the streets freely, waiting for tourists to feed them carrots. You can watch staged gunfights in the middle of the road, browse eclectic shops, and step back in time to the wild west.

* **Lake Havasu City (45-minute drive):** Drive south along the river to Lake Havasu City. One attraction here is the actual London Bridge, which was dismantled in England, shipped across the ocean, and meticulously reassembled in the Arizona desert. Walk across the bridge, explore the English Village underneath it, or rent a pontoon boat to spend the afternoon out on the expansive, shimmering lake.

* **Laughlin, Nevada (40-minute drive):** If you are looking for a change of pace, head north to Laughlin. This casino town sits right on the edge of the river. You can walk the scenic riverwalk, dine at various buffets and steakhouses, catch a live concert, or try your luck at the gaming tables. It offers a lively, entertaining evening out before returning to the quiet comfort of your Needles home.

* **Mojave National Preserve (1-hour drive):** Head west into one of the most stunning, underrated parks in the country. The Mojave Preserve is a vast expanse of Joshua tree forests, volcanic cinder cones, and absolute silence. Hike to the top of the Kelso Dunes, some of the tallest sand dunes in North America, and listen to the sand "sing" as you slide down. Explore the intricate limestone formations of Mitchell Caverns or wander through the dense concentration of Joshua trees at Cima Dome.

* **Keepers of the Wild Nature Park & Wildlife Sanctuary (1.5-hour drive)**: Located in Valentine, Arizona, this is approximately 85 miles east of Needles via I-40 E and Historic Route, offering safari tours and experiences with over 150 rescued, exotic, and indigenous animals including lions, tigers, bears, primates, and wolves.

**Practical Things to Know For Your Stay:**

We want your transition into vacation mode to be as seamless as possible. The

home features keyless entry, allowing you to arrive on your own schedule

without worrying about coordinating a key hand-off. The kitchen is stocked

with pots, pans, kitchen tools, microwave, coffee maker, real dishes and

utensils, paper goods, coffee, tea, creamer & sugar, but bring your own

groceries or stop in town if you plan to cook. (Dollar General is 5 minutes

away and a Safeway about 20 minutes.) The climate control system, including AC
