Enjoy the beautiful tall windows and a fully furnished kitchen with a counter and bar stools for your convenience. This inviting suite offers a cozy and stylish space perfect for a relaxing stay. A one-of-a-kind stay in the heart of historic downtown Northfield, Minnesota. Located along the beautiful Cannon River at 309 South Water Street, Froggy Bottoms offers guests the opportunity to experience Northfield from a truly unique perspective.
Our suites are located in a historic building full of character, charm, and stories from the past. These are not cookie-cutter hotel rooms—they have a vintage, lived-in personality that reflects the history of the building. You may notice a few quirks that come with an older property, but we believe those little imperfections are part of what makes Froggy Bottoms special.
We have four individual suites, each accommodating up to six guests. Two suites offer access to our beautiful river decks, where you can relax and enjoy the Cannon River, while the other two suites offer street views overlooking downtown and Water Street.
One of the best features of Froggy Bottoms is our location. Step outside and you're within walking distance of Northfield's charming downtown, local shops, coffee houses, restaurants, breweries, entertainment, and both Carleton College and St. Olaf College. There is plenty to explore without having to go far.
And there's no need to go far for dinner! Taco Terco at Froggy Bottoms is located downstairs. Their Mexican-inspired menu and lively atmosphere add another special chapter to the Froggy Bottoms story.
Whether you're visiting Northfield for a family getaway, college visit, wedding, celebration, business, or simply a relaxing weekend away, Froggy Bottoms gives you a comfortable home base with history all around you.

Welcome! I’m Shauna, your host at Froggy Bottoms River Suites in the heart of historic downtown Northfield, Minnesota.
I fell in love with the character and story of this special place and wanted to create a stay that feels different from an ordinary hotel. Froggy Bottoms has a colorful history, and I love sharing that story with our guests.
Our suites have vintage charm and some of the quirks that come with an older building. We’ve embraced those imperfections because they give Froggy Bottoms its personality and make it feel like a place with a story.
Located along the Cannon River, Froggy Bottoms puts you within walking distance of downtown shops, coffee houses, restaurants, breweries, and Northfield’s beautiful colleges. Two suites have access to our river decks, while two offer views toward downtown.
Downstairs, there is new life in the building with Taco Terco at Froggy Bottoms. A 5 star restaurant where you can enjoy a meal.
My goal is simple: to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and connected to Northfield. Whether you're here for a getaway, family visit, college trip, or celebration, I hope you leave with wonderful memories.
