This was our second stay at this house. It’s clean, modern and centrally located. It was a bit of a timing struggle with 4 adults and one restroom but we made it work. We would definitely stay here again.
This was the second year in a row that we stayed at the Cabin on Back Cove Road and it will not be our last. We have already made a reservation for 2026. The cabin ihas both heat and air-conditioning, a well equipped kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms. And best of all, the stunning views of Pitcher Bay are always visible.
This house is absolutely amazing! It’s very pretty, clean, and the kitchen has everything you need! The view is beautiful! We loved sitting by the outdoor fire pit and watching the sunset! The beds are very comfortable. The host was very nice and quick to reply. We didn’t want to leave! Looking forward to booking and staying again next year!!!
Property was of high quality and very comfortable. We enjoyed the location and the suggestions for dining out and touring. Was quite relaxing to sit near water and simply watch the tide.
Our family enjoyed this property greatly! Beautiful place, well stocked, quiet area, hosts were very attenative! Definitely would return, and recommend to others!
Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. AC blew cold on the few days we needed it, we went late Sept/early Oct. Fireplace added ambience to room and there was plenty of room. Bedrooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable, plenty of extra blankets for those very cool Maine nights. Enjoyed the firepit and the view, ate dinner at fire pit while watching sunset and birds come in for evening feeding. Very relaxing.
Always a great escape! Rebecca is a spectacular host! She is really thoughtful, responsive, and a joy to interact with! The cabin is sparkling clean, well-stocked, and the beds are super comfortable. The view is breath-taking! Lastly, Rebecca is very efficient, proactive, and transparent in all her correspondences throughout the whole process from time of booking to check-out.
This was such a comfortable , clean and relaxing spot to vacation. A nice quiet neighborhood and the cottage was so comfortable and had all that we needed. Everything is new and well done.
The views of the bay and the sunsets are so special here.
Would love to stay here again in the future.
We found everything at this beautiful property to be exactly as described. Owner was very easy to deal with and there were many unexpected little "touches" that made the stay even better! Very peaceful, quiet area.
The cabin was just what we were looking for. It was in a central location to all the places we wanted to visit. It was immaculate, communicating with Rebecca was easy although we didnt need to really to because the house was wonderful, we had everything we needed. It was perfect, for our first trip to Maine!
Very clean. Comfortable beds, comfortable living area. Great washer dryer. Dimmers on the overhead lights would have been good. Perfect for 2 couples.
Beautiful views.
Very comfortable and well equipped house with exquisite views across Pitcher Bay and Medomak River
My husband and I stayed three weeks and enjoyed the comfort and convenience of this house. Its midcoast location made it easy to take day trips to museums, lighthouses, lobster harbors and farmers markers up and down the coast. We enjoyed the many excellent hiking trails in the area. I took many photograps of the sunsets across Pitcher Bay. We will be back next summer.
Gorgeous property! We cannot say enough good things about this cottage. Very clean and our hosts were extremely receptive to all my questions. Location perfect for my husband to research his genealogy. The check in guide was outstanding. We will be rebooking for next year.
This our second time stay at one of Rebecca’s rentals. We have always had a wonderful experience. My daughter is 9 and enjoyed wading around the rock cove looking for treasures. Sun sets directly across the cove and made for bright at times but beautiful evenings. We enjoy having the windows open to get the breeze. This was a great spot for some quiet family time.
Quiet and peaceful area. The cabin was just beautiful inside. The views of the water was fantastic from kitchen, dining and living area. I would not hesitate returning again. The owners were very courteous and friendly.
The kitchen was stocked very well with every thing one would need to cook with. The beds were comfortable. Very very clean.
I would rate this place a 5 +++++.

About the host
Hosted by Rebecca and Jeff DeMiceli
We purchased the property in the fall of 2019. In the spring of 2020, we tore down the old cottage that was on the property. During the summer of 2020 and 2021, our little family of four worked every day to build the structure and complete the inside of the cabin. The help from our wonderful family and friends made it possible.
Why they chose this property
If you're in the mood for a quiet day, read outside at the cabin, rent a kayak in nearby Friendship, venture down to either the Friendship or Cushing Harbors to buy lobsters right off the boat, visit the Olson House immortalized in the Wyeth painting 'Christina's World' or take a scenic nature walk or bike ride around Pleasant or Davis Points. If you feel like traveling further afield, peruse the Farnsworth Art Museum and waterfront in Rockland, visit Marshall Point Lighthouse (of Forrest Gump fame for the pop culture set) in Port Clyde on the St. George Peninsula, take home beautiful handmade wooden items from the State Prison Shop in Thomaston, visit the Transportation Museum in Owl's Head, enjoy the restaurants and shops in picturesque Camden, wait in line and contribute to the traffic near Red's Eats in Wiscasset or check out the sea life at the Maine State Aquarium in Boothbay. L.L. Bean and the outlet stores in Freeport, Monhegan Island, Portland, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are great day-trip destinations.
To access the cabin, you must climb a full flight of stairs. Once inside, everything is on one floor.
There is no dock or mooring available with this rental.
If you choose the Book Now option, please include the full names and birthdates of the members of your group so we can make up the Rental Agreement immediately.

What makes this property unique
The view at the cabin is amazing. It's pretty every day but it's different every day. You will never see the same sunset twice, but they're all breath-taking in their own way. It's an easy place to live. You have everything you need and the layout was designed with multiple seating areas both indoor and out to allow families to spend time together but not feel crowded. The mid-coast location provides the best of both worlds - relaxing time by the ocean on a quiet cove and easy driving to local towns and attractions.
