This house is in a great location if you are coming to explore Charlotte! The bed was comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Cass was a great host!
This is the place to stay when visiting Plaza. Perfect location, very walkable neighborhood. From coffee shops, to pizza, to pubs, all within a couple of blocks. The property owner is super friendly and will answer your questions quickly. A five star stay.
We really enjoyed a two night stay at this cottage. Cottage is located very close to a number of restaurants and businesses. Even though there is activity close by, the location was quiet and we didn't notice any disturbances. Parking was easy and we never had a problem with on street parking right at the front door. The cottage is nicely decorated and had everything that we would need.We didn't get a chance to use the backyard area, but it looked like a nice private place to relax.
Very clean and cozy bungalow, centrally located in Plaza MidwoodKitchen was fully equipedComfortable bedsLots of restaurants, bars/pubs, and coffee houses near by (walking distance). Try the sheperd's pie at the Workman's Friend Irish Pub just around the corner from bungalow and the UnderCurrent Coffee near by on Commonwealth Avenue, the black forrest latte was excellentThe host is super friendly, we texted via the Vrbo app, she responded immediately10 out 10
Cass was a great host during our lil getaway. The bungalow is at an ideal location to many walkable restaurants and bars in the plaza neighborhood. Will definitely recommend!

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful 5-star review Kaci! We hope to host you the next time your travels bring you to Charlotte NC or the NC mountains. -Cass
Amazing property with a wonderful location. Just as described. It was a perfect place from which to explore Charlotte. Communication with Cass was easy. Comfortable beds and great darkening shades. Even though the house is in a lively location, noise was not an issue. Great restaurants within walking distance and everything else was an easy Uber ride away. Highly recommend!
This historic bungalow was all that 4 adults could ask for. Cass is an attentive host with a home well stocked with all of the essentials. Out the front door are restaurants, coffee shops, nail salons, wine shops and more, all within a short walk. Five star location for sure!
Lovely entry living room, dining area, kitchen and bedrooms! Enjoyed sitting in backyard and reading on porch swing! Loved our stay, will recommend to family and friends, and be back soon.
Was in NC to attend the wedding of my nephew. I had a short 2 night stay by accommodations were exactly as stated and very comfortavle. Nicely appointed, easy communication with Cass and nice location to grab something quick to eat. Will recommend to friends and family if they should need a rental in Charlotte.
Perfect location for a wedding at the Vanlandingham estate and a great neighborhood! Parking really helps and so many little restaurants and coffee shops. Really enjoyed the bohemian wine bar next door. Owner is very responsive and great to work with. Outdoor space could use some love and doesn't have luxury touches inside but comfortable, safe and a fun location!
This house is absolutely adorable! Amazing decor, clean, exactly as presented in listing.
The location in Plaza Midwood is the best. One block from Central Ave which is the Main Street.
Can walk to so many restaurants, shops, bars, coffee houses, and Harris Teeter grocery store. 20 min from Charlotte airport. Definitely a gem! Would stay again!

Dear Linda--thank you so much for being a greta guest and for your thoughtful/5-star review. We love our little historic bungalow and so happy you and your daughters did too. Come back and see us! -Cass
We absolutely loved our stay here! The location cannot be beat AT ALL-such close proximity to lovely shops and restaurants, stones throw away from other fun places in the area as well. Beds were comfy and the place was so fun! Only two suggestions- we would have loved a comfy couch to spread out on during our nightly conversations and watching TV, but there are only 2 wingback chairs which didn't provide that comfy factor. Another recommendation is a larger dining room table to spread out on-only because we had to do some work one day and there wasn't a ton of room on the current one. But these are nitpicky things-overall such a WONDERFUL stay- we caught ourselves enamored with the rosemary bushes out front! Honestly, we'd love to stay here again!
Perfect for our needs as it was near the hospital where a family member was warded. It is an Active area with Supermarket and other fast food places all around. This place is good for two people and is at the edge of a historic neighbourhood- nice to walk around.
Our host, Cass was truly amazing and compassionate, in our time of grief she sent gourmet cookies to the cottage for us and she extended our check out time a bit without charge.
Thank you Cass your kindness will always be remembered.
My friend and I came to Charlotte to explore a bit before I move here and were looking for a great house in one of the neighborhoods I was considering moving to... this house was idyllic! The location is walkable to a ton of great coffee shops and restaurants and is literally next door to a great nail salon and wine bar. What more could you need for a girls' trip?? Cass was extremely helpful in getting us set up and giving us tips on good spots to check out. She really went above and beyond! The house was clean and cozy... the beds were super comfy and the extra fans were appreciated! I will have to come back to Charlotte a few more times before I move and would definitely stay here again.
The bungalow was even better than we expected. Every space was beautifully curated. The beds & linens incredibly comfy. Close to so many things to do & places to eat. (You can hear noise from nearby businesses on weekends but not to where you can’t sleep & it didn’t bother us at all.) We even ubered to other areas & was not expensive nor far. Check-in was seamless as was the entire stay. We were pretty busy while in Charlotte I didn’t have time to reach out to Cass but glad I really didn’t have to. I just couldn’t find the check out process & to let them know one of the other guests burnt the popcorn & it made the bungalow smell funky for a bit. I’d definitely stay here again.
The cottage is as quaint and charming as described. The wall galleries are impressive and create a wonderful artsy vibe. The rooms have thoughtful small touches that show how much the owners want guests to feel welcomed and taken care of. It definitely has the layout of a historic property (including the tiny but well put together bathroom) which adds to the charm. The front porch is inviting. The host was very patient with all our questions and was incredibly responsive. Overall, wonderful place to stay for a small group who wants to spend most of the time touring Charlotte and enjoy a serene atmosphere to lay their heads. Definite pros:LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION This can’t be oversold. The ability to walk to restaurants, shops, villani’s Italian bakery (the BEST bakery), and the market is fantastic. So clean! Bedding and towels are fresh and great smelling. Bathroom is spotless. Kitchen is well appointed.Things to consider:Well suited for days to unplug from work and electronics; not a remote work location and, to be fair, not advertised as such. The dining room has a cafe table so two is really ideal but four can work for a quick meal. Oh, and did I mention the location!
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We had heard good things about Plaza Midwood and didn’t want the hustle and bustle of the city all day long. We had an 8 am arrival flight into Charlotte so we were worried what to do with our luggage all day. I contacted Cass and she was so accommodating. She contacted the cleaners and asked them to come early so we could get in right away. That took a lot off our plate for that day. We planned on going into Charlotte most of the days, but we found that Plaza Midwood had so much to offer we didn’t really need to leave! Great brunch places and breweries and a wine bar next door. What more could you want? The bungalow was beautiful. Cass has it decorated with her beautiful photos that give the house so much character. The bed was comfy, the shower had great pressure which are two of my most important things. Cass even had a small coffee and breakfast bar set up for us. Very sweet! We would recommend this place to everyone. Very cute and very well located! Check this place out!

Im Cass. Artist (photographer and encaustic painter) and entrepreneur living between Charlotte, NC and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Covid introduced us to the world of short-term rentals when we put my art studio (Bungalow 1325) on the airbnb market just to make the ends meet. -What we quickly learned is we LOVED hosting and creating unique experiences for others to share surrounded by art, beauty and sense of calm.
My husband and 3 (large and ill-mannered) rescue dogs and our chickens love Charlotte (we have lived/worked in Plaza Midwood also and have for 15 years.) But recently made a long-time dream come true and purchased 30 acres of defunct nursery land to transform into WILDHAVEN--a Farm & Forest Retreat in the Blue Ridge. (where we just opened our Little Little Airstream Cottage to share.
We have had such amazing guests and welcome ANY and ALL kind, life-loving humans to share our little piece of the world At Bungalow 1325 and WILDHAVEN.
Why they chose this property
My sweet little Bungalow is in the very heart of Plaza Midwood (one of Charlotte's most vibrant areas of town) and within walking distance to many locally-owned restaurants/shops/pubs. (that I still use when in Charlotte for clients;-) Lots of art/light/a small courtyard, rocking chair front porch (and a nail salon and wine bar just next door;-)
What makes this property unique
Free Private Parking (which is tough to come by in the city) Firepit/market Lights/Front Porch with 2 daybed swings Lots of Art! Featured on the 2019 Plaza Midwood Historic Home Tour
