We stayed here for our wedding week with our three dogs and family and it was just perfect. The property is beautiful and Anne Marie, the host was is one of the kindest people! She couldn’t have been more excited for us and sooo incredibly accommodating!! She made the whole process a breeze during a very stressful and busy week. Our family had a wonderful time and had plenty of space. We hope to come back again soon when we have more time to enjoy everything ❤️
The property was perfect for our annual tradition of making memories with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandkids ages 6 months and 2 years old.
The lower level suite was perfect for the kids with two bedrooms, a full bath and a sitting area. Grandpa and I stayed upstairs in the master bedroom with living area, and kitchen.
The swing in the front yard was the perfect entertainment for our 2 years old grandson. I think it was his favorite activity!
House was well stocked and we had a wonderful time. Ann-Marie was a great host and we appreciated her getting us acquainted with the property very much!
This is a gorgeous property in a perfect lakeside location. The house is great (and the deck and lawn even better). The host is delightful and easy to work with and responsive. It was a wonderful place to swim, boat, play games, and relax with our family. Great sunsets over the water.
A few things to know about the place:
(1) The beach and first few feet into the water are rocks. This is not a problem for hanging out, since the lawn comes very close to the water and is comfortable to sit on. You will just need water shoes or flip flops to clear that space, and then you quickly hit a shallow, sandy lake bottom.
(2) There is a new house being built two doors down (August 2020). Depending on the day, there may be construction noise.
(3) This is a true VRBO situation. Unlike some rentals, which are not occupied by the owner and only lived in by renters, the host lives in this house when it is not being rented. As a result, there is a lot of stuff in the house, which has both positives and negatives (e.g. lots of great plates and utensils to use in the kitchen, but not much closet or drawer space).
We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in this property for 3 days during the Ryder Cup 2021. The house exceeded expectations! Great place, clean, comfortable, plenty of space. The lake views are beautiful.
Ann Marie was very helpful the whole time. A fantastic hostess. All in all, an excellent experience. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful and relaxing location as advertised. This is a special place as it’s actually the owner’s home, and not a dedicated rental property, so one can step into a true lake Winnebago lifestyle and experience. We even got to meet the neighbor who has been next door since 1966, and is always happy to help lend a hand and keep an eye on things, and wish us a good vacation. Kayaks, nice dock for fishing, and a lakefront firepit. Set on a private lakeside road that's great for a Summer morning stroll past the cornfields and wild turkeys. Very responsive owner always available and helpful with suggestions for dinner and local attractions. This is our new relaxing farm country getaway far removed from the usual tourist areas.
What an enjoyable stay we had at Ann Marie's property. She was a perfect hostess. Explained everything, provided us with things to do and places to eat. Checked on us to see if we needed anything. The house is beautiful, open floor with two bedrooms on the lower level which was perfect for our family. The lake is so shallow, clean and WARM!!! Loved the kayaks , rafts, and adirondack chairs by the firepit. Such a relaxing, enjoyable get away. Thanks Ann Marie for everything.
My wife and I stayed for our anniversary. The home was clean and had everything we could have wanted for cooking or relaxing. Would choose to stay again.
It was a weekend full of fun and relaxation for the 4th of July. We enjoyed sitting around the bonfire in the beautiful backyard overlooking the water. Will be back!
We enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day weekend in a beautiful home that offered all the amenities we needed. Thank you and we plan to stay again in the future!
The house fit our family perfectly with the master bedroom on the main level and the kid zone on the lower level.
Beautiful views and immediate access to the lake!
