Amazing home. Amazing location. Amazing communication.Truly felt like home while we were there. Fully stocked, cozy decor, and all of the amenities that make for an epic ski vacation.
For a spring break ski trip with two families, including two couples and three teenaged daughters, the house was absolutely perfect. We were greeted with a welcome gift, a ton of local information with recommendations for entertainment and dining, and a beautiful property, complete with detailed instructions on how to make our stay most enjoyable. The house is large and private, both from neighbors as well as providing multiple living areas for adults and teens or children. The decor is stunning with authentic Norwegian decor and feel. It afforded the upmost privacy while allowing and encouraging gathering in the kitchen and great room with seating for many more than we needed. The house was extremely well equipped and we chose to cook and have dinner at the house most evenings. All amenities, such as hot tub, worked perfectly as well and humidifiers were provided for every room which was extremely accommodating. The electronic set up with a sound system in every room and the speech command TV/entertainment set up was easy to use. There were also many games to choose from for evening family time.
The house is located close to the base of Peak 8 and only about 0.3 miles to the base of Peak 8/Village. Alternatively, it is a very short walk to the shuttle, which was quick, convenient, and reliable. We had great snow throughout the stay and, with 5 peaks to choose from, Breckenridge offers something for all levels of skiers. Although it was Spring Break, we never found that it was too crowded either in the lift lines or on the mountain to enjoy. I highly recommend the home and the property owners were extremely helpful and gracious to work with. I would certainly come again and stay in the same property.
My family and I were lucky enough to rent the Chalet after Christmas this past year. It was a wonderful experience for so many reasons. With a large group spanning ages, the home was perfectly accommodating. We all had our own spaces to retreat to after spending the days together on the slopes and in the main heart of the home. Our host made us feel like we were never a bother and was very communicative and responsive. Having the ability to stay in their home where everything was so well planned and intentional is what really stood out. I do not have one complaint that comes to mind- except of course that we all wished we could have stayed longer! It was the perfect rental for our 3 families and I look forward to one day being able to visit again!***Some of our favorite things:THE LARGE BACK PORCH WITH HOTTUBEXTERIOR XMAS LIGHTSTHE KITCHEN!!! We were a family of 10 people aging from 76 to 5 - all were happy and comfortable there, anything we needed we found there.
Beautiful, like fairy tale castle house, spacey, cozy and clean, sauna and hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, close to the town and slopes, friendly hosts. We had great time there.

About the host
Hosted by Lauren Sveen
We built our home primarily for our family and guests, and rent it out only occasionally. Reminiscent of our native country Norway, the cabin is a perfect log ski home, loaded with character and antique Scandanavian influence. It works perfectly for up to 3 families.
Why they chose this property
We love Breckenridge for the diversity of the ski mountain, with lots of steeps and trees, and for the charming feel of the town. Unpretencious by nature, Breckenridge offers a unique blend of people, as well as many beautiful shops and great restaurants.
What makes this property unique
Outdoor hot tub overlooking mountains, firepit under the stars, Scandanavian sauna, beautiful, character-loaded antique and mountain furnishings, loads of room for kids to play, organized to make skiing simple with huge mudroom, cubbies and 16-pair boot dryer...
