It is nice to have a pet friendly apartment with a kitchenette, and we like the location, but if it were my rental unit, I would have a little more pride in the quality of the furnishings. I mean, the kitchen table looks like it has been dragged behind a pick up truck for a few miles, and some of the drawers in the dresser put up a heck of a fight when trying to use. But we did enjoy the tasteful artwork on the walls.
The villa was located near all the things we were interested in doing. Its nice to stay on the island. The pool was wonderful. We love to stay here on Jekyll!

Been to Villas by the Sea around 15 times in my life. Perfect location on the island, great beach access, bike rentals onsite, and generally just a great place to stay. Check in was very simple, easy to check out. Wonderful weekend getaway.

Very quaint property just a short walk to Driftwood beach
This was a great property! My parents and I stayed in a mini- suite and it was perfect for what we needed. It’s a beautifully wooded complex with big shade trees with hanging moss. Everything you need is here and within walking distance. We will be back!

Beach access was down the street but still close by. Listing was accurate. Check in/check out was fine. Did not visit pool or restaurant so can't speak to those. The cleanliness was not ideal, had to get new linens due to them being visibly dirty/soiled. When I called housekeeping they were very responsive and replaced the linens right away.

Dirty DUMP
The floors were filthy. We had to wear foot covering in the filthy shower. The place have roaches. We had to drive to the beach NOT a short walk. The best part of our get away was leaving. You should be ashamed for ripping us off. I wasn’t going to leave a comment therefore I don’t have pictures. My husband and I are driving home very disappointed

Not impressed
The unit needs a little TLC. We couldn't use the bathroom light because the exhaust fan would scream. Could use a good clean.

Smell is bad
The sofa couch stinks to no end. It was horrible and completely unusable. Will never stay again with Parker and Kuffman
The bed made a very loud grating sound every time you moved so if you did fall asleep when you moved you were woken up if you moved. The TV did not work. We cut our visit short. When we dropped off key card the gentleman was not interested in why we were leaving early.

Old School
We knew this res was Old School. Hand washing the dishes; trying to find a laundromat to wash clothes and sheets.
What we didn't know is that the bathroom was ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS--and there is no alternative.
The one shower was is the bathtub. The bathtub bottom was totally slippery with no mat. The bathroom floor tiles outside the tub were even more worse. We are still agile senior citizens, but we had to fight for our lives every shower.
Please replace this bathroom shower before you try to rent this again--for everyone's safety.
We truly enjoyed our stay overall and made beautiful memories here. When we arrived, our kids were immediately mind blown by the playground, they ran straight to it! It’s beautiful, well-kept, and such a wonderful feature for families. The location of the villa in relation to beach access was also excellent. Being able to walk to the beach easily made the trip even more enjoyable. That said, we did notice a few things inside the villa. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable closed-up smell, as if the unit had not been aired out in some time. While that alone wasn’t a major issue, we quickly realized the floors were quite dirty, to the point where we couldn’t comfortably walk barefoot. There was visible dust accumulation, and the ceiling fans also appeared to need cleaning, which caused some sneezing during our stay. The unit could benefit from some updating and deeper cleaning attention. We were also under the impression that the main bedroom bed was a queen, but it felt closer to a full in size. The sofa bed appeared larger and may actually be the queen. Clarifying the bed sizes in the listing would be helpful for future guests when planning sleeping arrangements. On a positive note, the bedroom comfortably fit our dog’s crate, which made traveling with our pup much easier.Putting those things aside, we truly had a great time and even wished we had booked for longer. Jekyll Island offers so much to do, and the overall setting and location of this villa made great.
A good price but not always convenient with the property managers living an hour away. Our card stopped working and we had to wait an hour to get back into the condo.
Basic rental with all you need to enjoy the area. The location is great. It is an easy bike or walk to the beach.
Nice workout room on the property. Nice pool. We enjoyed our stay.

My daughter, granddaughter and I went for our first trip to Jekyll Island. We enjoyed our stay at the Villas. The playground was a big hit for my granddaughter. My daughter went on a pleasant bike ride all around the island. The pool was our saving grace because swimming in the ocean was not even possible. It was so nasty, We loved the atmosphere of the Villas but would not travel back to Jekyll Island for an oceanside experience.

The condo is lovely - a little dated with the yellow paint and the nicks in the floor. The idea, of course, is that you won't be spending a lot of time in the room, so those small issues weren't a big deal. The bed is very nice. There are plenty of towels and paper products, which is a plus. There's not a room above, so no upstairs neighbors to worry about, and the fitness room is below, so no noise from there either. The view on one side is of the playground and on the other the parking lot. There is not balcony.
It usually took a day or so to get an email response from the property management after I had booked the property. I didn't need them while I was there, so I don't know how responsive they would be if there had been a problem.
My main issue was the description of the location regarding the beach. The beach is actually more like 100 yards or more away from the condo, and the "beach" is really a very, very large sandbox. The water is not accessible from the sand as there are rocks - boulders - blocking the way to the shore. If you're into sunbathing more than walking in the water, it would work. Just don't expect to be looking for shells and sand dollars on this part of the island. There are beach accesses close to the property - just not on the property itself.
I had a great time on the island, but the condo was merely a place to eat and sleep. I'm not sure I would choose to stay there again, mainly because I was looking for something more on the beach than this was, but overall it was a fine place.
