About this property
Stacked Stone Retreat - Bryson City Luxury Log Home close to town
Custom built luxury log home that is conveniently located only about 5 minutes from town, 10 minutes from Deep Creek and Road to Nowhere, 15 minutes from the NOC and Fontana Lake. This home sits on 2 private acres that are beautifully landscaped so that you can enjoy peace and quiet as a base camp for your mountain adventure. Go hiking, ride the train, visit the local shops, restaurants, and breweries in downtown Bryson City without having to navigate a steep driveway! A huge deck extends the entire way around with a covered porch on one side where you can relax and hear the birds chirping or wave to the passing Great Smoky Mountain Railroad guests. A massive stacked Tennessee Field Stone gas fireplace allows you to relax in the main living area. Visiting for the holidays? ***In 2025 we will decorate the house for Christmas in mid-November!***A cook's kitchen featuring 2 ovens, a gas range, a wet bar and lots of granite counter top space make food prep easy. The master (King) is on the main level with exterior doors onto the porch and a nice bathroom that has a huge Jacuzzi tub and a tile shower. 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 Queen, 2 twins) each with their own baths. The downstairs has a large family room with another massive hearth, a bedroom (King) with a bath and double vanity sinks, another whirlpool tub and stand up tile shower. Internet, cell reception, and a desk is also available (a rare find in the mountains) if you need to do a little virtual work while you’re away. This is truly a beautiful home that we hope your family can enjoy as much as we do.

About the host
Hosted by Stephanie Begansky

We are a young family that loves the great outdoors. This home was our primary residence for a few years until our Active Duty status moved us away. We hope to return full time some day but meanwhile wanted to share this home with other families to create wonderful mountain memories!
Why they chose this property
We love how close this house is to town, hiking trails, the Nantahala Outdoor Center, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and Fontana Lake! Everyday you can have a new adventure only minutes from the doorstep. Whether you want to just relax by the fireplace, go hiking, go tubing, go fishing, ride the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, or take in a scenic sunset, this is the perfect launching point.
What makes this property unique
Tucked away for privacy but no steep or long driveway, cell reception, and internet availability are rare to find in Western North Carolina. We have it all in this gorgeous and relaxing retreat. Sit on the deck and wave to those riding the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, listen to the birds sing, and then get out and see the sights!
