This was a nice private and peaceful place to stay. I appreciate the creativity and out of the box thinking that went into this structure. My wife and I especially enjoyed the unique fireplace since outside temps were quite chilly during our visit. The hosts were very responsive, nice, and accommodating. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing setting to get away to this is great.

This home was very unique. We really enjoyed the property. The pond was peaceful, and the woods were a nice asthetic. We didn't get an opportunity to enjoy the firepit, but it looked very inviting. We enjoyed shopping nearby in Bardstown. There were unique shops and delicious restaurants. In the other direction of the property, one will find Bernheim Park. Really enchanting! My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We left the kids behind. If you do have kids, just know, there is an open room layout in the cabin, so no privacy :)

Unique, comfortable , cozy cabin, well equipped kitchen and bath . Communication with host excellent. Enjoyed our stay.
Everything here was very well done. A perfect place for a couples get away. Super clean and really liked the layout. This will be our go-to when visiting Bardstown!
This is our first time at this property. We were more than pleased with out stay. The hosts were very responsive during the check in process and never we never had any reason to contact them during our stay. Maybe more important to us, since we are old, the furniture was the most comfortable we've experienced, including the bed. The property is exactly as advertised and even more when we were actually there. Great setting and a truly unique house, to see the story behind the building of the house was a plus. The friends I was meeting with couldn't believe my description, so they came and saw it. Fantastic. We will be back next year.
Very clean, interesting accommodations in a great location. Our hosts were responsive and attentive. The location is a short jaunt from Bardstown in the heart of Kentucky Bourbon country. The structure itself, inside and out, is interesting. It was stocked with all we needed for our stay.
Impeccably clean place with really interesting architecture. The location is beautiful, while also being convenient to lots of things. Check-in and check-out were both extraordinarily easy. One of our best VRBO experiences to date.
We enjoyed our stay and if ever back in Kentucky would book again. It is extremely convenient for Bardstown distilleries and pretty close to Louisville. Very quiet and relaxing property with plenty of privacy. There are two things I would point out: 1. It is a haul to the Frankfort/Lexington distilleries. If that is your plan you might want to book elsewhere. 2. The bathroom is tiny, and I mean tiny. If you are on the larger side you may have some issues.
Convenient property to visit and tour Bourbon Trail. Also convenient to Louisville and visit Churchill Downs and Louisville Slugger Museum. Beautiful area and property.

HI there,
After posting my initial response to your review, I realized it would be a good idea to check the guest list review book in our cabin to see if you may've perhaps left more information regarding what lead up to this "Terrible" review. And I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you actually wrote and I quote, "5 Stars... Nice, Loads of Adventures/Tours/Tasting. Jeff & Joann Marine on St. Croix, MN."
So I'm hoping that you did in fact enjoy your stay with us, and were therefore not disappointed with the "Cleanliness" of the cabin. Although I do sincerely apologize if this is not the case.
