This was a great place to stay. Jami and Rachel were great communicators and made sure to give us updates on check-in, check-out, and even local deer activity.
Very clean, quiet area to stay.. perfect for a getaway and a close drive from home. Jami and Rachel were great with recommendations on places to eat, things to do, shopping etc. Definitely will come back and recommend others to visit here too.
My siblings & I stayed at Rachel & Jami’s place for a wedding & it was exactly as pictured!! The home was clean & was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’d definitely stay again!
Nice cottage, kept very clean and well-stocked. The owners were very friendly and approachable. The kids loved the chickens, ducks, and goats on the property, and the sort walk to national forest land was nice as well. Overall we were quite pleased with our stay!
Such a unique, cozy cabin! We loved everything from the plush towels to the cozy loft beds. The property has a lovely pond and is walking distance from Pisgah National Forest and a short drive from Asheville. Will stay here again!
AMAZING Hosts! First trip to Ashville for my two children (under 10) and I. Very clean property and we loved the animals. Bring your own cooking essentials (butter, oil, etc) otherwise you're covered. We are already planning another visit this summer.
This is a wonderful property surrounded by beautiful mountains in a country setting just outside Asheville. The cabin itself is very charming and quaint. Love the goats, chickens, and other animals. This is the second time I've stayed here but definitely won't be the last.
We had a great time at Jami's property. The home has so much charm and could easily sleep a family of 4 or a couple comfortably! We spent the weekend in Asheville and hiking so it was nice to be close to Pisgah for trailheads. Loved being out in the dark + quiet area and waking up with goats outside was a fun perk!
our stay on your property with our two young Grandchildren was an experience all 4 of us will remember for a long time!!! The kids loved feeding the goats and watching the chickens walk!! The cabin was perfect, clean, and it had everything we needed!!! We hope to be back someday!!!
The cabin and property provided the perfect weekend retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We were welcomed by a couple of friendly ducks, and the owners made us feel equally welcome. The animals and pond on the property make this an ideal location for a family with young kids.
Me and Hubby had a great experience. It was very clean and nice. The area was beautiful and peaceful. Close to town and attractions. The owners were extremely nice and helpful on what attractions to see and how to get there. Also the owners there and on top of anything that we needed with our visit. I will be back and recommend to anyone that it was a great stay.
It was a great stay. Nice and quiet getaway. Much needed. If you want a nice quiet place away from but close enough to things, this is the place for you. The hosts were very communicative and available for any questions you may have. We love watching animals in nature, and the have chickens, goats, dogs, and cats. Thanks Jami and Rachel!
We had a fabulous weekend in a beautiful rental! The cabin is absolutely perfect and the owners provided everything that we needed! We enjoyed the serene property, fresh eggs, and super cute and clean cabin. We can't say enough how much we loved this rental. One surprise is the cabin's proximity to Douglas Falls, which made for a great hiking experience. The owners are great and it was a seamless experience.
We loved staying here! This cabin was very clean and had everything we needed (including farm fresh eggs). The beds where very comfortable. This was a birthday/girls trip (19, 18, and 17 yr old and myself). The girls all loved the cabin. My 18 yr old has already requested that we come back! Jamie and Rachel where great to communicate with. This cabin is definitely on our list to come back to.
This was a perfect little cabin. The owners were wonderful. They were very accomodating with our early check-in, very attentive to our needs and went over and above for my 5 year old. They let her feed the goats and left her a little bike to use and brought over crayons and coloring books for her. And the eggs they gave us were delicious. The property was lovely with beautiful views. I highly recommend this cabin and will definitely be back!
Rachel and Jami’s little cottage tucked away in the woods is the most perfect place to get away from everyday life, lay back and relax. They provided fresh eggs, hospitality and are extremely friendly. Anybody looking for a time away with nature, this is the place. There is a great hike that you can walk to from the house (about 10 minute walk to the hike) and they even have goats, chickens and ducks!
My wife and I had the most wonderful time.
These were some of the nicest, most available hosts we've met in our travels. They patiently took the kids around the farm again and again. Unasked, they setup a beautiful space for our family to celebrate mother's day. Whenever we needed anything, they quickly brought it by. Can't recommend them enough!
Great remote getaway in the quiet of the country where you can see the beautiful starry nights. The cabin is small but cozy and uses space in clever ways. We were greeted each time we pulled in by the official welcoming committee-two very friendly Mallard ducks & all the animals on the farm are fun to observe. The owners were very responsive to any needs & happily answered questions about the area.
Jami and Rebecca were outstanding hosts and the cabin was very cozy and well laid-out, but the charm factor was being out in the country with various pets and farm animals on the property and even a small pond to watch for wildlife, yet close to all the urban offerings in Asheville. Sometimes (after a long day or at night) the last leg of the journey seemed a bit long, and something in the listing led me to think it was closer to Marion than it is but that might have been vrbo's algorithm to my search.
This is a the perfect getaway for a small family (we stayed with our 3 and 5 year olds). The cabin is an adorable space with everything you need for a base as you enjoy the outdoors (Pisgah National Forest) and the city (Asheville). The drive through the valley is serene and the location allows you to enjoy a variety of activities from biking, hiking, touring Asheville, or staying on site to feed the goats, watch the chickens, and take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with classic VHS movies (be kind rewind). The hosts were kind, hospitable, great with kids (allowing them to pet and feed the animals), and they even provide fresh eggs in the fridge for your first breakfast. Thank you Jami and Rachel, be well!
Very clean and cute cabin! Located in a truly beautiful area, we enjoyed the short drive to and from Asheville. Owners were friendly and available by text but gave us our space. We we’re fine with the 3 beds in one room, it worked well for us with a young kid. We would definitely stay here again and next time in warm weather we will swim in the pond! Also I will bring a cable to connect the big tv to our tablet to watch movies. It’s great to just unplug and enjoy the peace and quiet but if you are hoping to watch movies etc just plan ahead for that :) also, I didn’t get phone reception out there so I’d recommend writing driving directions down and contacting owners for any questions/WiFi login etc ahead of time. Super nice place!
If you’re looking for a serene, cozy, and friendly place to stay outside of Asheville, this is the spot. We really loved the atmosphere with Jami and Rachel, our very gracious hosts, who supplied us with farm fresh eggs, made a campfire for us, and provided us with plenty of local recommendations - food, sights, hiking, and even a pillow for my afternoon time in the hammock. From the signs in the driveway and warning about friendly mallard ducks, we knew it was going to be a good stay for fellow animal people. This really is a wonderful spot nestled in the mountains and I can’t wait to come back with my cozy sweaters. We were instantly smitten with the cabin (that loft bed is so cool though!), hosts, critters, and lush outdoors. I just wish we had planned to stay longer because this is a several day stay minimum! Really. Just go ahead and book this place. This is your sign!
We love this place and the owners are extraordinary people! This was our second stay since 2022 and we will return again. The welcoming vibe from the owners, the many farm animals, and proximity to nature (trails, creeks, and the Pisgah National Forest) are among the many reasons we will continue staying at this location.
